hello, what I’d like to do is add the gallery to a page that already exists. let’s say this page, http://www.flashcomponents.net/component/2_scrollers_xml_photo_gallery.html,
when you go down to the bottom, I’d like the visitor to see the thumbnails set in a row (I don’t know if there’s a specific name for this) just like you have it. and when he clicks on an image, the image should open “over” the page, like a popup, if you will. is it possible?
I sent you a email a couple of days, but never heard back.
I think the current scrolling doesnt work too well when you have over 100pics in a album. It is either too fast or too slow. Is there a way to get scroll buttons?
Also 3×4 pictures are cropped a little too much. I would rather see them displayed with black borders on each side?

is there a limit of categories for the gallery?
why I'm only seeing 8 Categories, I've checked the XML file everthing looks ok.
How can I fix the scrollers categories and thumbs to go faster at the begining and end?

Have just downloaded the onescroller version. I have cs3 dreamweaver and flash. How possible is it for a newbie to replace the images with my own please? Can you give me the step by step process please?

The component takes the data’s from the .xml file so what you need to do is :
1. open the .xml file with notepad or a xml editor
2. replace the path for the images with your own (they can be link’s to an image or local images)
3. save the .xml file and run the script…
You can put more images or remove images from the file very easy with the .xml file … just open it and you will see the simple structure …

I’ve read in older comments that auto-play is possible… Could you please describe what changes are necessary to get the gallery auto-play? When reaching the end of one gallery it should start from the beginning, not jump to the next category/gallery…
I had to do some changes already in the file, so maybe it would be easier if you could describe… Or if you think it’s easier I can send you my .fla-version…

I am using view with the categories on the right and images on the bottom. I want to remove the descriptions at the top all together. How do I do this? I am integrating in to an HTML page and it is causing a big gap. Let me know.

Hi VIP, I’ve just bought your gallery because I would like to integrate it into www.joydeberker.com, and make updating my client’s paintings easier.
I would like to change the background colour to match the existing site, and ideally would like the title and description to appear beneath the photos. However, am I being stupid? I can’t see how to modify it. When I open the .fla file in Flash 8, there’s nothing there except for a black background. Your help would be appreciated.

Just open the Action window with F7 or (Windows – > Actions) and you will find all the variables for this component in the top … the background is actually the stage background … You can also use viptehnology@gmail.com for any help …

Hello VIP. I purchased the photo gallery last year. I love this program. It has seriously helped advance my copanies portfolio section which features many many photos and categories.
Is there a quick code you can add to make it auto play? I have a lot of thumbnails and it would be great if clients can just view for maybe 4 – 5 seconds and then go to the next photo and eventually the next category.
I have decent flash coding skills so I could insert if possible. This would really help me.

This is a good and gallery, but in my opnion, you should add fullscreen mode and download imagem.

I too tried to contact you by e-mail but that was not really succesfull, here is my question:
Is it possible that the preview thumbs on the bottom can change the orientation of the view screen automatically?
Because if i use a portrait image it cuts of to much from the picture, I understand that I can change the orientation manually but changing line 3 and 4 in the action frame, but then it is either landscape or portrait.
I have very limited knowledge of Flash so I hope you can help me out.

Hi I want to use "Right To Left" Language Like as Persian or Arabic but always there is a Problem For do that in Flash :( Can I Type, Categories Title in Persian
The text is html text given in the xml file so I don't see any problem in using Arabic language ... You can contact me at viptehnology@gmail.com if you have any problem using this kind of text ...

I am not that experienced with Flash, but we really like the program. My question is how much trouble would it be to add video clips instead of photos? It would be ideal for us to be able to add video as well as still images.
