    My flash doc is in AS3, and I’ve loaded your AS2 carousel into it. As said earlier, I want to jump to another frame on the main timeline (in AS3). But isn’t that possible because my doc is AS3?

    It’s being loaded into a php page, I’ve done all this via dreamweaver. From the looks of it the file can’t find the image files although they are there. I uploaded the carousel_commercial directory complete to the root of the site. Was this correct or should I upload the contents of the carousel_commercial directory to the root of the site?

     All those files are in the same folder. I've created a folder called "carousel" and put all the files in that. I've then uploaded the entire "carousel" folder to the root directory of the site.

     I’ve checked the file paths and everything seems ok. The file paths are as follows:

     
     

     Path to flash package files: Siteroot/sienna/carousel/files from package

     
     

     Path to php page that carousel is embedded in: Siteroot/sienna/includes/languages/english/html_includes/main_page.php

     
     

     i have tried every possible combination of file path, i have put the flash package files in the same directory as the php file and still no luck. I have put the carousel directory in the same folder as the php file with no luck… this is so obviously a file path issue but I just can’t get my head round it.

     
     

     The paths to the image files have remained unchanged as they came out of the zip file. I did however try changing the file paths in the xml file to the relative location from the site root but that didn’t work. i’m at a loss.

     
     

     i can’t attache any files as I haven’t got the option with PM’s… If you give me your email I’ll happily send them via that.

     How do you resize the entire carousel flash file. When i resize it, it cuts the images off and the mouse no longer moves the images. Could you provide an html sample for resizing?

     I appear to be having the same problem as Nikhil Shah below. When you initially load the page the carousel is where it should be…. in the middle of the page.

     
     

     However, if you then refresh the page the carousel appears on the left hand side and not centered. I have checked both my clients site that I’m working on and Nikhil Shah’s site and both sites are displaying the same problem.

     
     

     This appears to only be an issue in IE7. i’ve tried it in Google Chrome and Firefox with no issues.

     Context:
     I%u2019m creating my website using only Flash.
     SWF "B" contains 3D carousel. I set the images on the carousel to point to other frames within the same SWF "B" (I pointed the images to frames 5, 10, 15, 20). It works perfect!
     SWF "A" is the main movie that contains the button that calls SWF "B" by using a Loader from Flash>Components>User Interface.
     Problem:
     Although SWF "B" works perfect when is tested individually, it does not work when is called by SWF "A". Once SWF "B" is nested in SWF "A" and I click the images, instead of showing frames 5, 10, 15, 20 of the SWF "B", it shows frames 5, 10, 15, 20 of the SWF "A".
     How I set it:
     I changed the url attribute in the XML file with a frame number to go to when clicking each thumb (for example url=“5”, then in the ActionScript code from the FLA file I replaced the getURL function with _root.gotoAndPlay(Number(urls[i])); It didn%u2019t work without _root.
     Since SWF "B" is in its own folder, I also had to copy the XML file in the main folder where SWF "A" is because SWF "B" didn%u2019t work, it didn%u2019t load the images (once called by SWF "A"). Why? I couldn%u2019t figure it out yet.
     Is this a path mistake? Please help.

     I give up. I bought carousel commercial. Opened it in Flash CS3. Looked in Actions for code to change images. No luck. Thought I’d try to at least publish the carousel (as is) into an HTML using Dreamweaver CS3. No luck . . . Still no images (even though I have all the files in the same folder). I’m hoping I’m missing something really simple.

     I’m having some problems with the carousel. Sometimes it works fine, but once in a while, some of the images won’t load, and sometimes the layering position – “z-index” – of the objects in the carousel is wrong, so that the smaller images in the back are in front of the bigger images in the front.

     
     

     Any clues of what’s wrong? Any help is seriously appreciated …

     i got the menu up and running but the image’s url links are not working. you click on a picture and nothing happens. Can someone PLEASE help me, i’m using a trial of flash CS4 and it expires in 2 days (too broke to buy the software). Is there something wrong with my xml? this is what the path looks like:

     But when I want to use the “Carousel menu smooth” for blur option, there is a white background behind my transparents icons.
     What can I change in the code to keep png transparent = to remove this auto background ?

     I have this carousel on a page, and when you click outside of it there is a 50% shift to the left in IE7.

     
     

     I changed the document size in flash to 480 × 370. And I changed the size of the carousel to:

     
     

     actualWidth = 123; //The actual images’ width
     actualHeight = 123; //and height (the images which are going to be loaded through the XML file)
     Ratio = actualWidth/actualHeight;

     
     

     imageSize = 60 ; //images size
     RadiusX = 175 ; //images X radius
     RadiusY = 450 ; //images Y radius

     
     

     The carousel is a little large for the window-the sides get cut off a bit, and I’m ok with that, but I don’t know why that would cause it to shift.
