For some reason the example files on this site (the three above) aren’t working. I bought the product too and the example file doesn’t work in there either. Thank you for any help in advance.

Server where the files are hosted went down, when you use your won files , it will work.
I will update the files shortly ISA.

I really want to buy this thing but hesitate because the images in the example don’t load! Does anyone have a site where this is working? I want to see how the larger images look when they load (and how a link in them would work). Thanks!

Ok…i’m inpatient and couldn’t wait! Is this the best place to post questions or do you prefer another way? I’m wondering if it is possible to add that ‘full screen’ feature that is available for videos to an image only album. I would love to be able to display my images full screen!

shirtandsimple , posting here, posting a PM or sending an e-mail, they all work for FC.net since they always send notification e-mails : )
The gallery works perfect, only the server that I used to store images on went down, so I will move the images to another server and update the files as soon as possible.
There is a fullscreen button in the context menu (right-click), it works for both images and videos

Please throw a PHP programmer a bone. :)
I’m trying to use this cool gallery in a project via the XML method. I don’t have Flash to open and view the internal settings.
I’m guessing that the .fla packaged with the kit will expect the MyControls.xml to be somewhere.
I’m pretty good with instructions and have a nice MyControls.xml and some gallery XML files set up, but no matter where I put MyControls.xml, it dosen’t seem to use it.
I’m starting to wonder if I need to be able to open the swf and specify the name of the external XML file.
Could you please tell me what/where to put the MyControls.xml file and if this is the proper name to call it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I stand in awe of you Flash guys and gals.

OK, I figured out the path stuff and have it working. Coolies!
Two questions:
How do I prevent the URL from showing up over the thumb image? (my urls are very long with many params and cover the whole thumb blotting it out) I need the url, just need to have it not block out the preview thumb.
And, Can I replace the text “3DYeah…” over the window with the name of the gallery or title of the video thats playing? Some XML param I hope.

Forget my question about hiding the url link. I’m an idiot…
When I add:
<ThemeFile value = “Themes/BlueTheme.xml” />
to MyControls.xml, it won’t change (path is correct and not a cache problem)
Am I putting this directive in the right place?

kiddo -> MyControls.xml is a Settings files, it’s not a theme file.
Theme files are located at “XML Files/Themes” , select either one of the two files and place with the SWF file at the same location.
You can edit theme files using Notepad.

I recently purchased this gallery and have it up on my site at http://www.myproofmanager.com/gallery (i love it!)
One thing I’ve noticed is that my users rarely figure out that each of the albums have more than one page. Is there any way to disable the ‘hide’ feature for the ‘Prev. Page’ and ‘Next Page’ buttons? I’d like them to be out all the time and not just on the mouseover of the category name bar.

Just a little problem.
What do i have to change in the fla (or xml) to show the flv-files (or all content) un-stretch? My videos are 16:9 and the gallery shows the videos deformed.

Hi,
Love to buy this but I need to know that links targeted to _self within the HTML website the 3D Gallery will be embedded into will work.
Actually I want to insert the gallery into a template and target the links to the sites web pages.
Other galleries I have purchase url links only target _blank, not _self or allow frame targeting.
My customers will not want to have lots of windows opened in their browser.
Other forums mentioned that Flash Player 9 does not support swf links to html self.
Please let me know before I buy.

I just tried this new 3D Gallery I like it very much but I still having problems, I am using Joomla 1.5.9, and I can't figure out why the swf is not reading the relative paths I copied from the example folder. Can you look it up? this is the site

Hi Nitrox and members for this FC,
I posted a question and never received back any answer from this author.
I have to figure it out most of the things by myself. Now is farely working.
The problem with this component is that you need to regenerate the swf file at the flash program. As well as the xml files. I found this process too tedious and long process.
I think the author should improve it a little more,
1.Make a script that creates an automatic xml file. I can not spend too much time with 300 or more files, can you?
2.Make a script to read the folder name that will be the Album name.
3. Need a subfolder o subcategories for Pictures and for videos.
4. it should be able to add or play any other video format and not just swf or flv files.
Let me know what do you think about it?

I just wanted to know if we can add description of each video under the main video player frame.
Also can we import this gallery into another website with the UILoader size (800×580) and transparent background color?

I don't recommend to use this component if you have too many files. If you can handle around 10 to 20 items without modifying them, times the number of albums you will get at least 100 files to fix in time to time. Then you have to start all over for new set.
There's a poor support.
You have to deal with the *.fla file and with the *.xml files for every change you make.
I think I will find another way. I spent $30.00 and I won't use it for sure.
There's a lot more to improve.

*samy4movies -> * You don’t need to open the FLA everytime you need to change something unless it’s in the core of the design , which is just normal.
Your suggestion is much appreciated , but this version is XML driven … maybe the next version will be PHP driven.
The Flash player is capable of running FLV and MP4 videos, it’s really not up to me :)
