Hey, hi, just bought this template. Its lovely.
However, I wanted to ask what to do if I want either of the two scenarios – 1. When it loads, the first image is background img. If I want to instead load with a fullscreen movie, how do I do it. I tried changing the path to “load/background_image/main.swf” instead of img.jpg. But it does not load the swf.
2. If I don’t want movie, but say, I want to load a gallery in the first instance itself – how do I make the buttons (front arrow-back arrow-info and pause) appear on the right?
Currently, the galleries load only if you click on an image from the subMenu item. But I would like to change that.

Hi Sophie.
This template supports only images format like(.jpg,.png), it will not work with swf files and I will not do a version that supports swf files for performance reasons.
All my files are optimized so that they will work on a slow computer too. If you add a animated swf in the background on a big resolution the computer will freeze and your visitor will not be able to view your site.

well the thing is i don´t know how to make the gallery work. I saw the help me file and everything is clear but i don´t why i can not see your default example-gallery?
The root is pretty much the same load/collections1/bigimage/1.jpg and for the small image is the same but with the smallimage folder name.
when i tested locally i doesn’t show the default gallery either.

Ok so what seam to be the problem because I don’t really understand, I’ve opened the link that you sent me and all images are loading…
If you want to change the images just replace the current ones with the one that you need and test it to see if it works.

Hi and thank you for the template. I´m very sattisfied with it the only thing I dont like is the transition and like John Reid I would prefer a simple crossfade. Is it possible that you change it for me as well?

2 quick questions:
1) in the “contact & bio” module, can i use html? and what happens if my text goes beyond the frame’s limit? is there a scroolbar?
my intent is to add a list of the retailers selling my artwork. there is over 100 of shops and art galleries in USA selling my photos, i would like to have the full list with maybe their name in bold, separated by state (in upper case) etc… html and a scroll bar would really help here.
2) how can i add my own logo?

There is not scroll bar in the about and contact window so the text is limited.
The logo graphics is also not possible but I will do a version that allow this.
Right now I am not available for custom work so if you really need this changes is best to ask another developer to help you.

Does anyone know how to control the quality of the images? In photoshop they look great but when I see it in the template I could see them lose quality with blurness. Any thoughts or ideas?

The flash player display the images with a smoothing algorithm applied to them this is why you have the impression that the images lose quality.
If you want that not to happen use a bigger resolution for you images.

Hey,
just like peer said “I don’t get the logic in the imageresize. I want to have photos that will work in both fullscreen and windowed browsers. My own screenresolution is 1920×1200 ??" if I put in a photo with those dimensions it works fine in fullscreen but when I press ESC to get my browser in a normal window the image gets resized and gets the corners cut off ??" I’m guessing it’s because the resize algorithm will only resize to a certain degree. But what resolution is the optimal ??" I don’t want anything cut off my photos..”
I too dont seem to understand the resizing concept, i resize images to fit my 15” macbook and then when i view the site(not full screen) on my 20” screen , the images are cut off. is there anyway to fix this, you can check out my website

This is a standard math formula to resize the images so that they are not distorted an always visible, this is how is done….

Please help!
I can’t get the template working in Internet Explorer browser.
I uploaded the files to my web server and everything work fine with Fireworks (Mozillla).
It seems that that IE opens the SWF but without content. (I can only see the gray background) . Even right-click menu works fine (flashplayer menu), but images or controls are not shown.
Template works fine when I open your index.html locally in my computer, but not in the server.
I even tested to upload the files that came with your download.zip without modifications, but it’s still not working on IE. I have tested this with three different computers.
I bought the template about two weeks ago, so I. guess that I have the most recent version.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I really wanna use this as my homepage but I have a question.
This template seems like it enlarge pictures based on the resolution, for example, 1200× 800.
But I was wondering if it also force-enlarge even small pictures to fit to the screen resolution. I am hoping that it doesn’t enlarge over the original size.
Please let me know.
Cuz most of images I am going to upload on this template are not any bigger than 1000× 1000.

i’m the proud owner of 2 of your templates. i’m curious if there is a way to place the contact button at the end of the menu string (i.e. after the external links).
i’m creating an external link for a video section and think it makes sense visually to have contact button last after all my other sections.
