Is it possible to make it stop rotating on mouseover? With XML?

The banner rotator complete doesn’t have an option to pause on roll over but if you have purchased the component and want it added i can do that. Just email me at support@flashframer.com

I’d like to use this component on pages I have created using Apple’s iWeb ’09, inserting it as a HTML widget. (I’ve inserted .swf files successfully this way before.) Just wondering if I’ll be able to do this and still be able to customize it, before I throw down $20. Any guesses?

Yes you can this component with iweb. I’ve actually test it in iWeb. Below is a link to preview it working in iWeb.

Just bought it. I know nothing about flash and javascript but I got it all going within 1 hour including making 10 images at 75 × 180. Really, really impressed and very easy to customise.
Is there some simple code I could add to the page to detect if the user has flash and show a simple jpg image if they haven’t go flash?

I noticed that when using the fade in/out transition, when the file gets to the end of the XML list and starts over, the overlap in the fade transition breaks. Is there a way to fix this? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I found that the frame rate does not work correctly. No matter what value I set it at, it still rotates every 6 seconds or so. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello suzanne.dewulf,
The frameRate setting is the frames per second of the Flash file. If you want to change the amount of time between rotations you need to change the transitionDelay paremeter.

would you be willing to work on this to customize it for me? I have very specific needs.
for example:
- FLV support inside a SWF or directly for a SWF (with customizable buttons)
- option to have the buttons/thumbnails show on left or Right side of the screen.
- are the “1” “2” ’3” etc.. thumbnails loaded externally? I need them to be.
- is the ADMIN tool available for purchase or comes with the FLA?
please let me know how much for customization features like above.

I jut purchased the file and I am having problems with it. I have installed tons of these flash banners and have been designing and developing for years. However
I am having a problem with the flash file.
I uploaded the files (as is) to my localhost server as well as to my web host and it does not work!
If I load the file locally straight to the browser from Windows Explorer it works!
I changed the allowScriptAccess to ‘always’, I even got rid of it
I removed the AC_RunActiveContent.js and just loaded the flash file straight as both embed and also as embed and object
No matter what I do I cannot get it to work on a live server?
I also have a few more questions.
Is there anyway to fix the loop to continuously load images at the end of the sequence it fades to lack then fades back in the first picture again. Can it not fade from the last picture to the first picture ?
Also can we change the XML/config.xml file location to another location by changing line 102 in the action script of frame 1.
I want to load a PHP file as an XML file so that the contents can come from a database and have the database build the XML file from PHP
Please get back to me ASAP I have a pending project

Thanks for the speedy reply.
I resolved the issue.
There was a line in the.htaccess file blocking the processing of he config.xml
I run a copy of the Perishaible Press 4GBlacklist to block exploits

Hey there,
Can you please help!
I can run this ok off of Flash, but when I put it into dreamweaver it just appears as a black square. Also, when I open the .fla file, it’s also just a black square and I can’t figure out how to get this functioning in my site.
I am able to manipulate the .swf file, and when I run it I can see my changes.
Please let me know what the problem might be…

Hello fawaz,
I’m glad you like the banner rotator complete. If the file doesn’t work ones you load it to the server it might be an issue with the images and xml file path. Try putting the complete url path to your images in the xml file.
Example:
http://www.example.com/images/image1.jpg

Hey your gonna have to forgive i edit videos and my client wants me to make them a website so i am very new to flash. here are the steps i take after customizing the xml with my own pictures and colors. i save it then i open dreamweaver and click the import swf files and pick the banner rotator swf file and then a big grey box appears i click on the play button at bottom in the properties panel and a black box appears. now in your images folder u have an example swf file when i load that it plays perfectly. are than anysteps im missing when im in flash cs4? so techinally i havent got it to load in dreamweaver cs4. even when i just download this file and open the default swf file it doesnt work but when i go into your image folder and click on the swf file there and import it that plays. im sorry for bugging im really trying to learn but i edit videos, so i can pick up on this fast. maybe there is a step im missing when im flash. thank you very much

This looks very nice. Just a few questions before I purchase: – Each photo can be programmed as a separate clickable link… correct? – I will need the buttons to be oriented on the bottom right. Is this possible? – Can this be customized to pause when rolled over?

Hi I just recently bought the Bannor Rotator Complete. My problem is that I am unable to embed the flash into my HTML. My HTML sits directly outside the banner rotator folder that I unzipped after download. the problem is that it will not show up. Check for typos and found none. used the same code I had for another flash object that worked and simply changed the path. Has anyone else had this problem….????

Hi,
I am managing with the Banner Rotator Complete, though it isn’t seem as easy (as a non techy guy) as it is presented. I am trying to load the banner into an iWeb page but am not managing to do so. I have tried inserting the html with the html widget but it doesn’t work.
Any help and or tips would be welcome.
