HI,
I bought the script yesterday and I immplemeted in to a new site. Looks great, but only IE gives a lovely error:
HTML Parsing Error: Unable to modify the parent container element before the child element is closed (KB927917)
It loads the application, but all other script after this app is abborted. The problem is the javascript. Do you have a working solution?

Sorry, wasn’t your scipt. The problem was a conflict with the exsiting Lightbox 2 javascript files.

I would like to have a swf file which contains multiple buttons. However this seems to be disabled or overrided . i have read an older message:
please open BannerRotatorWhiteItem.as and
search
__img.onPress = function(){
}
and replace to
delete __img.onPress
that is all
Can you clarify what you mean? Do you mean delete this or replace it (as it is referenced a number of times). I have tried replacing with ‘delete__image.onPress’ but it throws script erriors?

I wanted to make this banner totator rather than work from an xml file to change it to save the info in a database and use asp.net code to generate the banner.

but you may try to output the xml format content by your asp app
and load that asp app in my rotator

Can you tell me how you call your outside xml file in the fla. so that I can have it read from an aps.net page which will store the image file text and links from a database like SQL server.
I also have a second question. How do I move the grey box that holds the additional text in [DATA] down its to high

We are experiencing some issues with the mouse over/mouse off functionality of your banner rotator. We have noticed that when rotating through .swf files (only), when one removes one’s mouse from the banner rotator, it fails to begin rotating again. I have checked against your example on flashcomponents.net which also suffers from this issue on the .swf banner. This issue affects IE6, 7 and 8 (all the IEs I have available for testing) however FireFox appears to be unaffected. Please can you advise us if you have a fix?
In response to your previous question, my work colleague has purchased this file of which i can provide details.

hi that is because your Rotator not works in full flash site,
flash player has a bug,if you move cursor out swf file it will lose the cursor position
so if your site is not full flash site,you can try to set pauseAutoSwitchOnMouseOver to false, it will fix the problem

Can you do some custom work on this with us.
I realy need to do this using asp.net and storing the data in MSSQL. Can you modify the banner to be intergrated in an ASP.net 3.5 site please.

it is easy to works with any server-side script, eg: php, asp, aspx…..
you just need to output setting xml file via your aspx app
and load that xml file to my banner, and don’t need to modify the banner script

Hello,
I was wondering if it was possible to do a javascript call (using externalInterface or getURL)when clicking on a tab and when the focus is swithching tab with the auto-switch function activated. Is that part of the code accessible for users to add a custom line like I want here?
My goal is when a tab is activated, I want the image of the flash to change like it’s supposed, plus calling a javascript function that is gonna animate a div and make it move to content related to the active tab.

Hi:
I have recently added this component to my website however I am having an issue with the flash component hiding the html dropdown menu. The menu seems to sit behind the flash. Can you provide a solution to this?
It has been suggested that I add a 'transparent' value and also wmode="transparent" to the embed src tag, however I am unsure how/where to add this.Can you advise if this is the solution and how I can accomplish this?

The width can expand only to 600px, How can i extent it much further such as 925px? How can this be done?

Hi,
It works perfectly for me.
However i can’t find a way to set links onto the side menu in the xml file. It work for the pictures but not for the menu button.
How should i do to add a link on each button from the side menu?

Hi, i have one question about the banner rotator.
when i put it on my website, it works.
If i use firefox, i can see that the bannerRotator put datas in the temp folder
“Local SettingsTempplugtmp”
But if i test directly on your website
http://www.flashcomponents.net/upload/samples/2860/index.html?full=true
The tmp folder is not used.
If i close firefox or change the page, the “plugtmp” folder is cleaned
The problem if that if i let the rotator play during a couples of hour, it will put a lot of images in my hard drive… because it duplicate the jpg pictures again and again…
what can i do to avoid the storage of thoses pictures ?
( no-caches directives and other things like that does not change anything )
