Update:
Change all file extensions to lower case! For some reason, many of the files that come with this have file extensions in upper case...
That is the main issue. In addition, you have to go into site.xml (under Home section) to get ride of the VS video that auto plays and pops up over your website when launched. There is nothing in the help files that addresses this and was a complete surprise when I uploaded my site...It is easy to over look it...
Dear Sir,
Before posting malicious comments telling other buyers not to buy, you should know some basic notions: a server is case sensitive.
We don't have file extensions in upper cases. We have some file names containing upper cases, for example: translateContact.xml. It's not the extension in upper cases nor the file name, but the file name contains an upper case.
When you copy the files on your server make sure you are not converting them automatically in lower or upper cases (maybe you checked this option or left it checked).
You could have email us, before posting any comments, asking for some guidance...
Regards
Dear Lambert Group,
I tried to email you and it doesn't work. In addition, my downloaded package of templates did, indeed, have JPG in all caps for several of the demo jpg images used in the templates. Furthermore, that auto play Victoria's Secret video (which has no warning or directions on how to disable it) auto played when my site first launched and was nice, but unprofessional. The pop-up streaming video at the entry of the site is a big issue and EXTREMELY poor taste when it is not mentioned anywhere and just appeared. Do you know how much of my time was spent figuring out how to turn that video off?!? That is worth posting here and I am not sorry for that either because there is literally NO WARNING that you coded that video to auto play when the audience enters the site..
Additionally, I am now having issues with the externalSWF. This is not a MALICIOUS comment - but the truth. If you have an email address that WORKS, I will gladly contact you instead of posting the issues here. If you don't like the heat either get out of the kitchen or provide real instructions and a working email address for contacting you.
Bottom line is this, you have a great set of templates, but your instructions are incomplete and email methods of contacting you do not work. I tried contact Lambert and FlashComponents.net with only one reply that did not solve the problem (but my original posting was taken down). So, may I have an email address that works? Otherwise, I will gladly post my grievances regarding the externalSWF here as well if I cannot get help and it will get your attention.
Regards, indeed. Please provide me with an email address that works where I can actually get a reply and solution. Yes, these posting could have been avoided with the correct contact information. Thank you.
Hello,
You can contact us using "Ask Author" link in the sidebar or on [email protected]
On each page we have this message "If you need additional information don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] We'll try to answer you as quickly as possible."
Regarding the video autoplaying when your website was launched, didn't you test it locally before launching? You should add your own content (images & videos) replacing our demo content.
Regards
