I’m not sure I understand your question. The XML can be edited using a text editor or dreamweaver. The ActionScript is ActionScript 2.0. Let me know if you have any other questions

Hi,
I’m new to flash programming, but I’ve heard that there is a major diff between ActionScript 2.0 and 3.0. Since I’d like to focus on 3.0 (I’ve other 3.0 projects planned) to stay consistent in my site, how much of a problem is this going to be? Do you have a 3.0 version?

ActionScript 3.0 is a lot different than 2.0. The Quiz only comes in ActionScript 2.0.

Hi,
I have downloaded the DynamicXMLFlashQuiz and it works great. The only problem that I have encountered is that when I load the Quiz into another Flash file using “loadmovie”
I am loading the quiz into a “placeholder” movie in my main Flash file, example of code:
placeHolder.loadMovie(“004/DynamicXMLFlashQuiz.swf”);
The Quiz interface appears fine, but it can’t find the XML documents to load. I get some “undefined” text where the XML should be appearing.
Flash Output window Error message: “Error opening URL “file:///G|/quiz/settings.xml”
The XML files are in the correct place, and the Quiz still works outside my main Flash movie.
Any ideas?

clock function
I would like to know if it is possible to add a clock function that counts down from 60 minuts, and when it hits 0, that test stops by it self, and shown passed or failed.
I also need these functions.
A person needs to login before he or she can take the test. The username is unike, meaning that no two persons can have the same username.
How much will this cost?

The quiz should support Arabic characters. You just have to make sure Arabic is embedded in the text fields.

Hi
There is an error on the feedback screen to the test taker.
It says “You successfully complete this quiz”
it should read “You successfully completed this quiz”
I looked at all the files I have to correct the mistake, can’t find it.

I am unable to opent he file. When ever I open the file Flash (CS4) crashes “The application Adobe Flash CS4 has unexpectedly quit”
I need to edit and do some skinning on the fla file before using.

I am trying to skin the fla. Whenever I publish the dynamic text fields do not show any text. The original swf from the downloaded zip file works, but my newly published with company skin swf either does not load the xml or just does not display. The input text boxes have not been renamed and are in arial. I tried opening the fla and then just testing without adding or changing any skin and it does the same thing of not loading/displaying the text in the text fields from the xml.
I am hoping to get the company skin on this so any help would be great.

I opened the FLA and cannot get the dynamic text fields to show any text, unless I set the FLA to publish to Flash Player version 7 or earlier (which is no good). Any time I try to publish to v8 or later I get no dynamic text.
If you read tubb’s comment below I believe he/she is experiencing the same problem. Please advise. Thanks.

Hello martinimeows,
Try selected the text boxes for the questions and make sure you have the font used. Also make sure the font’s are embedded.

Great Quiz. Why can't I get the text to wrap ? I ca't use questions that are two or three sentences because the text cuts off. Is there a way to fix this. Thank you !

Hello twiggit,
Sorry for the delay in response the text box for the questions can be made larger to fit more text but with take up more space. This component doesn't automatically size the text boxes are align them. I tried to strike a balance between making the text boxes big enough for long answers but not to spaced out to much when a shorter answer is shown.

To be fair it is true my email address in my profile was outdated.. I
admit I was being over reactive when I sent this message. I was stressed and a client was breathing down my neck.
