  • one more question, what are the required files to be uploaded on the website.

    HTML / SWF / LOAD (folder)
    and
    There are two swfobject.js files, one in the root and another inside a folder.
    Which one of these to be uploaded?

    Thanks

  • You need to upload

    - load folder – swfobject folder – index.html – index.swf

    So any suggestion about the play pause question?

    #  /  posted on Nov 17, 2009
  • Ok, I modified the code so that the Play and Pause states are now maintained properly.

    If possible, I would love to have some transition effect possibilities in later versions.

  • I will fix all of this in a future update and add more transitions.

  • Hi, I’m trying to change the flash width & height and also the background color by editing the index.fla file. But when I want to do the Test Movie and Publish Settings, it always shown a Compile Error message (7 errors for the Loadbar.as) which makes me unable to run the flash properly.

    Is there any way to solve the problem?

    Thanks!

  • I have two questions. I just bought this component.
    1) If I’m embedding this component, can I still enable the full screen feature and how?
    2) I don’t want to use the text description that shows up on top of the images. I tried removing the <description> tag from the images.xml file and now I get an empty grey bar on top. Is there a way of getting rid of it altogether?

    Really appreciate any response.

  • About the embedding you can use the full screen just enable the full screen option in the embed code.

    Ex:
    <embed src=‘main.swf’ width=‘600’ height=‘300’ bgcolor=’#FFFFFF’ allowscriptaccess=‘always’ allowfullscreen=‘true’ quality=‘best’ flashvars=‘xml_path=load/load.xml’/>

    About the description right now it can’t be removed. I will fix it this weekend.
    Write to me at [email protected]

  • Now the description can be enabled or disabled.

    Check here an example of the product.

  • Hi, I purchased the All Files package but it seems that the version for this flickr style gallery hasn’t been updated to what is reflected on this page. The one I can download from the All Files package was modified in April 2009. Can you update it to the latest version? Thanks

  • Hi.

    Open Main.as search for this line of code.

    _contextMenu = new FullScreenMenu(this);

    Comment that line.

    //_contextMenu = new FullScreenMenu(this);

    Recompile the .fla file…

  • Hi there,

    I’ve finally put up an instance of your gallery up on the net. My local version works perfectly. The online version freezes. The gallery loads fine with all the small pictures available at the bottom but when it tries to go to the second photo, it just hangs.
    You can see the instance here: http://www.parhamhomes.com/harrison/harrison.html

    I’ve also been having problems with multiple pages of galleries and certain ones just not opening. Is there a trick to how you would set up different pages with the same gallery file?

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi.

    Please download again the .zip files an update have been made and a few bugs fixed.

    For your problem, if all the images are loading and working local then the images paths in the xml file are not identical with the images names on the hdd, is working local because your operating system is not case sensitive… the server is case sensitive this is why is not working.

    Before you replay saying that they are the same I can assure you that they are not:), a common problem for this is that the extension is .JPG with uppercase for the images and on the xml file they are with lower case .jpg.

    I hope this makes sense for more questions please write to me at [email protected]

  • @ganesha77

    This can only be done by changing the code. I don't know how to explain this to you because I am not sure exactly what you need. Write to me at [email protected] and give me more details.

  • Hi,

    I haven't bought this product yet, but I am thinking about doing so. I would like to know if you can/do provide step-by-step instructions (at a beginner's level) on how to integrate this into a Wordpress Page?

    Thanks, Gus

  • @ggphotography

    I am sorry but I am really bad with html, but you can add this in Wordpress page just like any other .swf(flash) file.

  • Found this site that gives you a fully editable template and a year of hosting for 100 bucks, use code CTE517. Killed two birds with one stone for me, you have control over the actually placement and layout too. http://www.truportfolios.com/

  • How do I get started with this? I opened it thinking I could just swap or add items. I see just a black stage with one thumb nail in the upper left corner, the time line has nothing on it except the first frame. I got this thinking I did not need to be an expert in action script, but looking at the help file it looks like I need my degree in coding to figure it out. I'm using a MAC and flash CS5. I see all the files but no idea what to do with them. Any idea what I am doing wrong, I it's sup[osed to be easier then it's looking......at least I sure hope so. THANKS...

    You don't need to know any kind of actionscript to use this gallery. Contact me at [email protected] and I will try to help you.

  • I’m experiencing a problem with your photo-gallery system. Anytime I try to use a letter with an accent (such as è, ò, à) in the description of a photograph, that letter just won’t show. How can I fix that?

  • You guys ROCK!! Absolutely the BEST designs....and absolutely the BEST.....instructions/documentation on flashcomponents.net! I have used many of your designs...and never have had any issues. The difference is that FW Design is consistent with designs....and always includes straightforward help that I can understand as an "average" technical person.
