    if i embed the videoplayer, i can say currVideo: “2” to choose a videoclip, but if i say currCateg: “1” to choose a category, it doesnt work!

    it’s possible to have, for the player3, the same system scroller (but vertical not horizontal) that you have in payer2?.

    @mau456 staf is a class, not a template.html. If it were missing, you would not receive email at all. Please make sure you edited the settings.xml file so that you have the subject and content you would like, but be careful not to change the structure of the xml. Also, the php on your server must have mail function working.

    
    

    @Robert.Lightfoot previewImage is a preview image for each item you play in the playlist. Before clicking on a video, your users might want to see a snapshot of what your video contains. STAF stands for “send to a friend” function, its role is to send an email to a destination email adress when one of your users liked a video and clicked on “send video to friend”

    
    

    @gelas69 It works by default, as long as you have a properly working php with email on your server. I do not understand what problems you have with the embedding, we can help you embed the player on youe site, please send a PM with a link to your site and some details with what you feel the problem is.

    
    

    @charlytscharner currVideo is a variable that points to a specific video while currCateg is a variable pointing to a generic group of videos. Currcateg is not used in players I and II, only in III.

    @mau456 and others: pack has been updated. Please download the latest version. If you still have problems with the email, let me know. STAF works the same way in all players, I don’t see why in player I the “sent to friend” function works for you while in PlayerIII doesn’t. Anyway, please try the updated version.

    I can’t ‘embed’ my VIMEO videos into template III or even link to them by inserting the URL address. How do I do this? I contacted VIMEO and they said the problem isn’t on their end (FYI they use moogaloop)...

    @bullyinworkplace How are you trying to link to their videos? Do you have access to their video files on their server? Youtube for example provides an api to be used by external players in order to play their files. The api acts both as an intermediary (to send all the information the player needs) and as a protection. Without it, no players would be able to embed YouTube videos. Are you certain VIMEO doesn’t work the same way? ;)

    Many thanks for your response! The VIMEO videos are mine. I’m trying to set up a true WebDocumentary that I can stream thru my FTP hosting site and let others embed (thus passing on) the different scenes at no cost. When I contacted VIMEO they sent me to:

    @bullyinworkplace We have studied thoroughly how VIMEO works. They provide their own player, not an api to be used with another player. It’s their player or no player. Also , it is AS3, not AS2.

    Hello: I just purchased the video pack. I'm wondering what if I did not want to have the e-mail button or functionality on the player. My server is set up for ASP instead of PHP but either way I would like to remove that button altogether. Oh I'm currently playing with the video player II.... Any ideas?

    I recently purchased the player pack, and when I use the code generated to embed the video (video player III) it only displays a black frame with no buttons, videos or descriptions. I have tried it on different servers and it isn%u2019t working on either of them. Could you please assist?

    @juliomario The player works with YouTube because we used the api provided by them when we built the player. Very little other sites provide an api to be used, and if they do, this api acts both as an intermediary and as a protection. Any attempt to “get” a video from such sites without using such an api raises serious copyright issues.

    
    

    @pops_mo I have sent you the modified files. Please note that the jump you noticed is not caused by an error, neither in your fla nor in the player: when you load the second swf inside the first loaded one, your entire site switches the “view all” option off (right click anywhere in your site and you will see what I mean). Please make sure all your flas are published with the same settings.
