  • @phoebe_flowers You can change in the embed code from settings.xml to settings.php?id=435 for example, and based on the id you can build a script that generate a xml that looks like settings.xml Please let me know if you have troubles with this script and maybe we will send you a sample.

  • FlashXpert, Thanks for the info.

If you have an example of a php file writing the xml file on the fly, that would be awesome. I know php, but not totally sure how this set up will work...

(note: I am only playing one video on a page at a time, so really I just want to tell the player the name of the video and the name of the preview image, I don't evne have captions or categories or channels, etc. so I"m looking for the simplest solution...)

    Thanks, Phoebe

  • Yea, just tried the php -> xml solution and it doesn't work. I can edit an xml file fine from php, or even generate an xml with the right code in it...

but it seems that if I set the settingsFile to the php, then the flash is not looking for the xml file any longer, and even when i return xml data from the php, it's not taking it. I just get a blank player.

Thanks for any help u can give.

    -Phoebe

  • @zerati We are not selling any templates. I think you mistakenly posted on the wrong forum.

  • @phoebe_flowers have you changed the HTML embed code to take your generated xml? If yes and you still can't make it work, please send us on private a sample of one of your generated xml's or a link to it.

  • @laguitar Use url queries:

your link could look like this:

    www.yoursite.com/folder/videoPlayer.html?currVideo=2&currCateg=3

  • Hello, I bought the player, however something is happening when I add over 15 or so videos. It will then only display 2 of the videos, the others won't show up. It seems like a glitch in the player. How can I fix this???? Thanks

    C

  • @camronelli I tested with 30+ videos inside in a category and everything worked fine. Maybe one of your video doesn't have the correct format, I can't find the problem at this point so please provide me a link to your player or send me the xml file.
