HI, I purchased this component and its in Flash CS3 Version.
I am currently using CS4, and when I try to work with your *.FLA it shows problems compiling even that I am saving it in CS3 format. I have also tried to install the *.MXP component in many ways, but Ive not been able to do that.
Please send me the file in CS4 format or let me know how to work properly with the component you developed.

Also, I have found two bugs:
1. When you scroll the images to the right, and then to the left, the following images wont appear.
2. When you do a mouseover in any image reflection, the following images wont show.
Please let me know how can we fix that.
Here is a working example of the problem.

Hey Snowcat,
Amazing tools you produce. So thanks! How do I implement the lightbox feature with the image scroller FX. I saw in the carousel it’s set by default but not in this. Is it the same code as you Carousel? Thanks

Hello,
I purchased the image scroller fx and I’m currently using CS4. Then I try to open the .fla file and there is a problem compiling the file. I have also tried to install the .mxp component, but that doesn’t seem to work. Please send me the file in CS4 format or let me know how to work properly with the component you developed.

Hi,
I assure you that the package that you downloaded, works just fine with CS4.
Could you tell me which is the error that occurs when you are trying to test the .FLA file.
I have also tried to install the .mxp component, but that doesn’t seem to work.
This is a Flash issue.
It usually appears because of the difference between the language of Flash and the language of the operating system.
1. Try to remove the Image Scroller component from the Adobe Extension Manager CS4.
2. Close the Adobe Extension Manager CS4.
3. Next, open your Flash CS4.
4. Create a new Flash File (ActionScript 3.0).
5. Go to Help -> Manage Extensions…
6. From Adobe Extension Manager go to File -> Install Extension and select the imagescroller.mxp file.
Restart the Flash CS4.

Hi,
From your settings.xml file, try to set the value of backgroundColor to 0.
e.g.
<backgroundColor value="0" />

I have a custom css/js lightbox that I have implemented on my site and want to have the images in the scroller initiate that… I am not sure how to call out the js from the xl file though… I imagine the code needs to be in the url=”“ but just copy/pasting from my other <a href=”“> doesn’t work.
To call it from elsewhere in the site I use:
<a href = “javascript:void(0)” onclick = “document.getElementById(‘light’).style.display=‘block’;document.getElementById(‘fade’).style.display=‘block’”><img src=“image.jpg” /></a>
I have all of the necessary css and divs included to make this work, but again, I cannot seem to link my scroller images to it.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I saw that article. It looks useful, however I am not using lightbox. I simply wish to call to a javascript I have placed in my header. My script looks like this:
<script type=“text/javascript”>
function showLightbox(onclick) { document.getElementById(‘light’).style.display=‘block’; document.getElementById(‘fade’).style.display=‘block’ }
</script>
I have tried the following in the xml:
url=“javascript:showLightbox()”
no dice. not sure what is going on. also I am having problems with the caption showing… not sure if that is related or not.

Hi,
When you call showLightbox function from html file you should specify a parameter or you declare in your html file the function showLightbox without a parameter.

is it possible to make some extra buttons in the flashfile which includes this component? these buttons should do the same as the buttons inside the components-area, but i would place them on other positions.

Hi,
I’m sorry, but this feature is not implemented.
You can only customize the two arrows inside the component area by changing the values of buttonsX, buttonY, buttonDistance and buttonImage.

Hi there,
I am trying to put multiple unique scrollers in the one home folder and differentiate by exporting different swf files withe different setting.xml (as the images paths will be different) but everytime I export from Flash CS4 i get an compiler error message after changing the naming convention of the setting.xml to setttings1.xml in the components inspector.
Help!

Hi FlashXML.net,
I tried to embed the flash file in my HTML this way and it comes up as an error….the div i assigned the embedswf didnt seem to work…. Basically, I dont need multiple .swfs in on .html file, but in a whole root folder so a scroller_1.swf has different settings to scroller_2.swf but are contained within the same root folder. So I have a settings1.html and a image1.xml for scroller1.swf etc…. all within in one folder. Any ideas?

Hi,
Just got the Image Scroller and love it. Can it be modified to get the effect as shown at http://www.chaumet.com/#/EU_WEST/EN/1901? Or do you have a similar component? Thanks.
