  • You can add if you have as knowledge.
The images will resize based on the resolution.

  • The documentation is not excellent…entire file below:
If you want to change the images in this AS 3.0 photo gallery you need to open the XML file (load/images.xml)

You will see that the XML code looks like this:

    <all> <thumb_path>load/images/thumbs/1.jpg</thumb_path> <pict_path>load/images/pictures/1.jpg</pict_path> </all>

<thumb_path> = the thumb image file location // IMPORTANT — the thumbs images must be W:75 H:65
<pict_path> = the song big image file location // IMPORTANT — if you are planning to use this gallery on wide screen with big resolution save the big images on high resolution also (W:1500 to 2000. H:it is best to let your image editing porgram to chose this for you based on the H)

You can add or delete as many images as you want…
Just don’t forget to upload the load folder ;)

    Enjoy!!

Honestly…a little more guidance would have been helpful.

  • hi fd
    i keep getting
In order to view this page you need Flash Player 9+ support!

but i loaded it..even though i have it.
    i’m on a imac with oSX 10.5.8

I rebooted and cleared my cashe

    http://www.photosbyhal.com/Resize/index.html

that’s the link i loaded it to.
    can you see my problem?

I’m also using dreemweaver cs3 to load the swf into another .html but in the same folder.
it views local in firefox but not safari..
    help!

  • I think this is the problem, in the html code you added the entire path to this

    <script type=“text/javascript” src=”../Resizable XML Photo Gallery/swfobject/swfobject.js”></script>

    leave just

    <script type=“text/javascript” src=“swfobject/swfobject.js”></script>

also make sure that the swfobject folder is in the same folder with your swf file.

  • hi FW
    Thanks for your quick response!
    http://photosbyhal.com/Resize/babes.html
I meant this html I have in the same folder and loaded on my server.
I changed the path you mentioned. The swfobject folder is in the same folder as the swf as well.
I’m embedding this swf file and resizing it in DW to 600 by 487 px.
It shows local in firefox but not safari and doesn’t show on the server side with both browsers.
Could DW be creating bad html code?
    stuck and needing help!
    hal

  • yes something is wrong with the html code because if you test the swf file is working.

    http://photosbyhal.com/Resize/index.swf

The problem is that it can’t find that .js file or something not sure.

Use a simple embed like this one and it will work of course change the data in there this is just an example

    <embed src=‘your_swf_file.swf’ width=‘600 ‘ height=‘487 ‘ bgcolor=’#FFFFFF’ allowscriptaccess=‘always’ allowfullscreen=‘true’ quality=‘best’ </embed>

  • I believe I got it.

    but now

I’m just now noticing that the whole image doesn’t show, it scrolls horizontal if you mouse over them. Can you set the image to be in total view?

    #  /  posted on Jan 21, 2010
  • The image is resized so that it will always fill that space and if it gets bigger the panning will occur.

This is how this gallery was build.

By the way you commented on the wrong component:)
