  • Excellent piece of work, works without any problems unlike many components I tried with horizontal images that use Papervision 3D and usually get horizontal images
to overlap if u want them to be close enough to each other.
I would suggest an easier access to turning of preloader of images such as in your settings xml.
    All in all great job!

  • Hi,

I need to customize "majestic 3d cover flow" available at http://www.flashcomponents.net/component/majestic_3d_cover_flow_xml_horizontal.html.

Can i change the code of it or is this a component which could not be customized. Following are the changes that i want to perform.

    1. Load the images by calling an ActionScript 3.0 function instead of through XML.
    2. Call any of my function on the click of the images.

    Thanks,

  • You can change the code as you like the source files are included.

  • Currently, this component is showing 13 pics. Can i add 30 pics in this component? If yes, then I do not know programming so will it be easy to customize?

  • @cocoon_bird

Yes you can add more and it is really easy to do it.

  • Is there a way to click on the image and go to a frame label on the timeline? It is setup to go to a URL but I need to have it go to a Frame label to post additional info about the image that will have alot of Text and then I will have a button going back to the menu of photos.

Also is there a way to have Text saying briefly what the photo is like a Title?

This is the best Cover Flow Flash I have seen out there, excellent job!

  • Two questions.

    1) Is there a way to specify the maximum height and maximum width for the images and have them scale up or down accordingly while keeping the aspect ratio?

    2) Are reflections supported?

  • @6000rpms

This version dose not support reflection and the thumbs must all have the same width and height.

We have a more advanced version maybe this one is better for what you need. You can see it at the below url.

  • Is there a way of showing transparent PNGs, so there's no box around the images?

  • Does this support fullscreen viewing to everyone monitor size? And will this support swf files with dynamic text that are driven by xml?

  • Can you remove the border? And remove the flip item option?

  • Can the button styling be changed?

  • Is there a reflection option?

    #  /  posted on Feb 19, 2011
  • @gkovanda

Reflection is not available. The buttons color can be changed but if you want the graphics changed then the fla needs to be modified. Flip option can be removed, border can be removed only with code changes. Fullscreen not supported because it makes no sense for this product. You can use .swf files preferably codded in as 3.0.

  • This component does not scale within a div when zooming the Browser window. I tried several new codes within your actionscript-panel and even mailed the author, mentioning this problem. It can only be solved by three hours of extra coding, was the answer. Being a moderate coder myself, I ask you again: their must be a simple way to scale the swf within a div without paying lots of dollars extra...
