  • Thank you :)

    This is a very nice, clean and simple game. It is very simple to modify the graphics, and I like that you have added a timer and point-scoring system.

    Well done. I’m looking forward to using this on my website.

  • Hi Oliofell,

    Thank you for you interest in my matching game.

    The fla file is included, so you can modify the images and background. Like the comment of Divaweb says, this is very easy to do.
    You can also change the amount of images.

    If you would purchase the game, and you would find this to difficult anyway, I can always help you with it.
    (but you would have to provide the images yourself).

    Hope this answers your question, Arnolda

  • Hi Arnolda,

    I just bought this your matching game, and I want to create some presentation and need more cards (images) there. But I dont know how to change it (I know Flash only basicly)
    Can you send me, how to change amount of images there?? (step by step please)

    When I open your fla document and export this to movie (possibly the only way to have it right with sounds) the score and time does not work… So PLEASE tell me, why…

    Thank you very much

  • Hi Oliofell,

    Thanks for the purchase!

    If you don’t see the score, it means you don’t have the font on your computer.
    To change to a different font, open up the file “machinggameObject.as” in flash, go to line 80 where you can change the font.
    Also in the library (Ctrl + L) of the fla file, you have to change the font to the one you’ll be using.

    To add more cards, you have to add extra images to the card movieclip in the fla file, and after that you can open the as-file “machinggameObject” and go to line 18 and 19 where it says:

    private static const boardWidth:uint=4;
    private static const boardHeight:uint=4;

    You can change these nrs to the kind of grid you want.
    And maybe change the lines 20/23 for the positioning of the cards, and also of course change the size of the stage.

    If you’re having trouble to make the changes, you can send me a private message.

  • By request, I’ve made an extra version using pairs. This way you can use an image and a word, or two different images.

    I have added it as a bonus to the package, so everybody who has bought the matching game in the past, can download it from the download page.

  • Hi, quick questions: how do I set up different pairs of cards? I do not see the array where you match card image with name. Can you send me instructions for this?

  • In the readme file, I explain how to do this. The images/words are in the card movieclip in the library.

  • I have upgraded the application to version 1.2.

    I have also added a version, which was requested by an user:
    the cards are shown for a few seconds before they turn around.

    Everybody who has bought the game, can download it from the download section.

  • Whats the instruction on how to play the game?

    #  /  posted on Jan 24, 2012
  • You have to click on a tile so it flips over and shows an image. Then you have to click on a different tile, to try to match the first image. If the match, the tiles will be removed and you receive points. You have to try to remove all the tiles as fast as possible! On this page there are two samples. The first game is to try to match african american sympols with the matching text, the second game is two images that are the same.

  • Thanks for posting the question again.

    To add this functionality, open-up matchingGameObject.as in flash or a text editor.

    On the 3rd line, after: Package( add this: import flash.net.*;

    On line 176, after: MovieClip(root).gameTime = clockTime(gameTime);

    add this:

     if(gameTime

    I'll send you the file.

    Best Regards,

    Arnolda
