  • Page 11 says it's only $34.95.

  • Thank for pointing that out - this was just in the demo as it is the same demo that was used for the AS2 only version. We've updated the demo to reflect the price for the AS2/AS3 combo.

  • Hi , it will be possible to be printed the pages?
    it includes manual?
    thanks, jose

  • Do you mean can the pages be printed? The only way to do this would be to create a script that would load the contents in the background which you can print through Flash but this would involve creating this script in ActionScript for this.

  • Hi - First off, this is a great component. Thanks. But there's a bug.

If the main flash site is loaded with a parameter (eg, foobar.swf?whatever), then pageFlipper keeps trying to load the xml files with an ampersand, which fails because there is no question mark to delimit the querystring.

eg: instead of getting: my.xml?nocache=whatever, it's trying to retrieve: my.xml&nocache=whatever.

This totally breaks the component. Is there a fix?

    Thanks.

  • Brilliant component, thank you!

I‘m using it on a touchscreen kiosk. One difference to a mouse is that page corners don‘t get mouseOut events…

If I touch the right page, the (invisible) cursor stays over the right page hotspot. If I then touch the left page, the book flips forwards 1 page before flipping back.

Is there a way I can trigger the mouseOut event from actionscript 2, to stop this?

    Thanks,
    Mark

  • Can I use for Offline CD-rom

  • The license only permits you to use it for websites. For offline CD-rom usage you will need an embedding license. Please email us at the “contact us” page on the Flashloaded website to arrange for an embedding license.

  • Is there any way to link to a (different) url from each page?

  • You can include links within the page content as the page content can be regular SWF files.

  • Hello,

I’m planning to use this component to publish HTML on the fly on a website and before buying it, there are a couple of questions to clarify.

The features section says it can load content from XML. Can it also load content from XHTML? For instance if it gets a parameter containing an URL (file.swf?furl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.site.com%2Fcontent.php), can it display the content of that URL?

Also, can it split automatically the given content in multiple pages? Or do we have to feed it each page individually?

Is there a manual available online we can consult before actually purchasing this component?

    Thanks.

  • @cipicip,

    In answer to your questions:

    1. You cannot load HTML or XHTML content into the pageFlipper. The pages must be in SWF or image format.

    2. Each page must be an individual SWF or image.

    3. You can view the userguide at http://www.flashloaded.com/userguides/pageflipper/

The XML file is used to define the names of the SWF and image files to load for the pages. You do not actually create the page content in the XML file.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Is this component resizeable? Or is this the fixed size? I’d like to make it bigger.

    #  /  posted on Mar 03, 2010
  • Yes, it is fully resizable.

  • Is it possible to put little images (thmbnails) instead the page numbers?

    #  /  posted on May 07, 2010
  • @dayanmb,

The page numbers are not actually part of the component. They are movie clip buttons that are placed on the stage and are connected to their respective pages in the page flipper through some simple ActionScript (gotoPage(num)). You can therefore use anything that you wish to create your own page numbers, including thumbnails.

  • I have some questions about your “page flipper” component:
    1) What options can be customized in this component?
    2) Does it have admininstration panel?
    3) What formats of documents can be viewed through it &
    Can it be zoomed?
    4) How much would it cost to make it look this way: http://www.kommersant.ru/catalog/flip/flip.aspx?IssueID=6000035

  • Here are the answer:

    1. You can customize the start page, flip speed, corner size, scaling, shadow, loader color, background color, page numbering, page order, flip sound.

    2. There is no administration panel but you can change the content through XML (define new swf or image pages).

    3. You can display SWF files and any image formats that the Flash Player supports (jpg, png, gif). It does not have a zoom option.

    4. You can add the thumbnails onto the stage yourself and code it through some simple ActionScript to flip to the respective pages. you can contact us through the message section if you would like us to do this for you as custom work.
