  • Great Component! I changed the document size of the FLA to 688×300. The buttons are on the right, but I would like them to appear on the very far right to have more space to view the main image that is now wider than the default one, but I can’t move or find the line or code to make this happen. Could you please help? Thank you!

    Change

    public var button_width:int = 190;

  • Set your XML url from HTML like index.html in downloaded folder. Give absolute path of your files.

    xmlUrl: “path/to/xml/filename.xml

    http://www.sitename/images/123.jpg…

  • It works very good in Firefox. If you enter more then 5 items, scroll appears.

But, there’s a PHP error in your

jd.gallery.js.php -> on line 2 (“No such file or directory”). Debug it in IE.

  • Re Sliding Image Gallery XML v2

Is there any way I can get rid of the button description? I tried simply deleting it from the xml file which seems to work for all the button except the first item. I realise this is linked in with the .as file so is more complex than I first thought.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  • This’s AS3. You can’t use this in an AS2 project.

  • Hello. I just purchased this component and I’m finding that the first image does not load automatically:

    http://www.caraudioguy.com/banner.html

If you click the buttons, the images do load, so I know that my image paths are correct.

    Thanks for your help.

  • How do I change the button color from blue to something else? Thanks.

    #  /  posted on May 08, 2009
  • You need to open fla file. There’re black & red images in sources folder. (bg_button_current_black.png, bg_button_current_red). Or you can create another PNG image. Rename them to bg_button_current.png. Take your image into sources folder.

Open library. Select banner/buttons/bg_button_current. Right click on it. Select “Update”. Click on Update.

    Finally, re-export it.

If you can’t do it, send me your PNG file. It’s easy to change.

  • I can’t get the .fla file to export the swf file with the text showing. Everything else works, but the text showing up when i test the movie

    #  /  posted on May 18, 2009
  • You need to have at least Adobe CS3 to export fla properly. Send me your files to my email.

  • After opening the banner.fla file the header text on the buttons and content disappears on the swf and the preview…
I thought it was because of the font (Swis 721) so I installed it but still have the same problem.
How can I get around this? Is it possible to change the font?

    #  /  posted on May 21, 2009
  • It occurs from missing font.
    Open banner.fla.
    Open library.
Select banner/fonts/fonts_mc. Create a dynamic textfield or change “Swis721 Md BT” filled one.
Then, open com/flashdo/flashblue/Banner.as. Replace “Swis721 Md BT” to your fontname.
    Finally, export your fla.

  • FlashBlue, I’m having the same issue as mattgarforth with the missing titles. I did what you said and swapped out the Swis721 font and used Gill Sans, and the titles on the side buttons came back, but the overlay titles that go over the images won’t show up still. Not sure where and how to fix it? Any help would be great.

    #  /  posted on May 25, 2009
  • There’are 2 replacement needed. Search “Swis721 Md BT” on com/flashdo/flashblue/Banner.as & replace to your fontname.

  • Flashblue, I contacted you via your contact form, but you’re not answering me.

The flash component is not autostarting in firefox, I have to click on a tab to load that tab (after which it will automatically go through the tabs). What’s wrong with it?

    #  /  posted on May 26, 2009
  • Great Thanks FlashBlue, works perfectly now. Great Component.

    #  /  posted on May 26, 2009
  • Nop.

  • Sorry flashblue, one more question. I can see how to change the color for all the text except for the description link color. I don’t see that tag in the xml. Where do I change the color for that?

    #  /  posted on May 27, 2009
  • It’s CSS driven. Open css/gallery.css. Change link colors.
