Hello everybody,

The first version had a few bugs and problems, so it got fixed and upgraded with 2 new features, autoplay and link image. If you purchased before this fix please re-download, it makes all the difference.

Enjoy !

• Hello, I just purchased this and I'm having a problem trying to load it into another flash file.

I've gotten it so I can load it into a seperate swf using the loadMovieNum action but I'm seeing the entire row of images used in the news side by side overlayed on top.

It looks like it is preloading those images and normally would be stored out of sight but if you expand the movie stage you can now see them. I can't find where I can move these images.

Any ideas?

• OK, this has been advertised as "Stylish XML News Reader"
I assumed it was an RSS capable reader, Seems like it's, in terms of saving
time it's completely crazy to think about typing/editing a whole content from sites as zenit.org everyday, what is the purpose to have a "Stylish XML News Reader" without RSS capability?, please correct me if I'm wrong?

Hello superpowter77,

I'm sorry you feel that way, however please keep in mind this file is *not* advertised as a RSS based news reader, just XML driven, which are two very different things. You could with some actionscript knowledge edit it so the data is from a rss feed, shouldn't take long, however this was not it's purpose. Please check our portfolio for a proper rss reader, with a different design though.

This is ment for sites that don't have a ton of news and just need a nice way of displaying them, if you have a lot of news daily better go with a rss powered one.

All the best,
Octavian

• I've gotten most of my problems worked out with this news reader but there is still one that is a deal breaker and makes it unusable.

If a user goes to a page with scrolling text and scrolls then clicks on the next button on the side of the news, the reader goes haywire and suddenly scrolls through all of the news really fast and never stops. I haven't been able to recreate it on the example posted on this page here, but I also don't have autoadvance enabled so that might be the key.

Could you please look into this and respond here, or email me. I've sent multiple emails to techsupport last week and I never heard back.

• Is there a way to remove the date display from an individual item. I want to use this for an upcoming events banner and there are some that don't have a specific date associated with it. For example - Coming in June?

Thanks

• Item looks great and is easy to use (i have it set up to pull news from our mysql database)
I needed to scale the objects a bit though as the original was too big (i scaled the objects in the source not the swf) and now the images are coming up a bit distorted. Any way to figure out what size the images should be or is there a place in one of the scripts i can tell it what size i want the images to be?

• Still haven’t figured out how to load this swf into a main flash movie – which makes this a waste of money. Judging from past responses, I don’t expect an answer either.. Time to move on..

It’s difficult for us to track all comments on almost 100 files on 7 sites, PMs and so on. Thank you for your understanding.

• Just purchased your product, it works fine. Just a small question, when I try and link a topic in a forum I have, for some reason amp appears next to the & sign in the url code. This amp was not in the original url and causes the link not to work in the news reader. Any help???
