Be wary of these guys. They say support is only available on their own public forum.
Well, it may be available, but I haven’t received any yet.
The Flash component is poorly documented in broken English and it has bugs with some of their “over 50 settings.”
The 3D z-index of the rotating items has issues with which item should actually be in the front. This results in issues when a mouse is hovering over an item, the wrong item is highlighted, the wrong tooltip is shown, and the wrong blur/distance change is applied.

Hello,
If you posted on our support forum and haven’t received an answer please allow us a bit of time as per our guidelines.
Regarding bugs, we have had no other reports of z-index issues and have throughly tested this. If there is a problem, it will be fixed promptly.
We do offer tons of settings, but it should be common sense that with some extreme values on these settings or combination of settings might not look that great, for instance if you make the background zoom larger than the foreground zoom. It’s just not logical.
Please post a thread on our support forum if you haven’t done so already and we’ll help you out.

And there is a bug. These settings don’t look all that illogical to me:
pictureWidth=“193”
pictureHeight=“200”
radius=“250”
foregroundZoom=“200”
backgroundZoom=“90”
enableTooltip=“1”
tooltipAlwaysVisible=“0”
Reproducible every time.

I don’t mean to be rude but the topic you started has been answered and it is a very basic thing, you have the stand-alone product inside the zip you downloaded and as a bonus we also included the one we used for the site-preview. The folders are self-explanatory and even if you don’t get it at first, all you need to do is open up the two preview.swf files you mentioned and you will notice one of them doesn’t have the settings panel.

As a note, I have tested the settings you mentioned, and although they’re quite extreme, I didn’t see any problems, the carousel works just fine.

For the bug, when the tooltips are configured to show during mouse hover, the close radius of the images makes it so the wrong tooltip is shown. The foremost image is overlapping the image to the left and to the right of it. For example, you can hover over the image that is in the front but the tooltip for the next image coming forward is shown instead. The distinction is that two images are overlapping and it seems to confuse the tooltips.
As I mentioned, the one preview includes the config panel:

@digerata – both work just fine, please re-download the pack if you modified things in the sourcefile that resulted in that .swf. Also make sure you use AS2 at compilation.
Regarding the tooltips, quickly go through the helpfile in the section regarding xml tooltip settings and make sure your tooltip settings don’t overlap. Alternatively you can send us the complete xml that gives you the issue and we’ll take a look. We weren’t able to replicate your symptoms.

Hi there and thanks for yet again a great product.
I seem to have a problem though with autorotate. Even though I manually set onRotButBarAutoPlay=“0” the carousel starts spinning upon load. I have the carousel set at Rotate using mouse so I expected the carousel to spin only when I mouse over and not always as it does now.
Any pointers to fix this would be very much appreciated

Please share the complete configuration with us (post it on our support forum or send us a mail at office [at] oxylus [dot] ro). Most likely there are some settings that are conflicting.

how to modify the preloader of each picture? it is to large ..i need it to be smaller, not to follow to size of the picture.

Hi there,
I’ve purchased your carousel and haven’t had any issues with it, however, the website that I’ve placed it on now lags heavily and the drop down menu doesn’t load properly on pages that have the carousel due to load. Is there a way of reducing the load or making the carousel take up less resources?

Hello, yes, you can easily make it take less resources by lowering the blur quality (check out the help document) or the background blur amount. The blur is the main cpu user.

Hi, I’ve just purchased your application (very great), but I need the carousel to rotate using the slider, when I configure the caruosel in the preview it goes fine but when I load the carousel into my application the bar doesn’t work (I can drag it with the mouse but the pics don’t move), I have proved it in two documents but the result was the same, although the buttons on each side of the bar work fine. Thanks.
