Hi,
I just bought this file.
I was wondering if you could have a fullscreen function for this scroller.
Thanks

Hi Just bought the scroller (so thank you) and have extracted the files. first stumbling block for me is that I just cant get the url links working for any of the menu options?
I notice that in the xml file (data) you use ‘name’ and ‘param’ rather then url or target.
<picture thumb=“tn7.jpg” description=“text1 solid” name=“http://www.google.com” param=”_blank”></picture> <picture thumb=“tn8.jpg” description=“text1 solid” name=“http://www.google.com” param=”_blank”></picture>
I have not changed anything since extracting the files and am just using your (SourcePack2-Test files) files
also when I do get it working I presume I can change _blank to _self.
Cheers
James

Hello, you can read a description on how the url/target variables work in the included help file. Basically if you need it in to open links in the same browser window, you can indeed change param="_blank" with param="_self" for all the links.

Yep thanks, I did before extracting but nothing! I have the following pictures listed in the data.xml. (Three of the same ones that came with the original zip file).
<pictures> <picture thumb=“tn1.jpg” description=“description text” name=“http://www.google.com” param=”_blank”></picture> <picture thumb=“tn2.jpg” description=“text1 solid” name=“http://www.google.com” param=“blank”></picture> <picture thumb=“tn3.jpg” description=“text1 solid” name=“http://www.google.com” param=”_self”></picture>
</pictures>
Visually the menu looks fine and the three images are displaying fine and dandy. but none of them link to any of the above paths ( google.com (test location)). I have not altered any other code only extracted the contents of the zip file so would have thought it should work.
Could it be the getURL function? or any other ideas? Iexplorer settings?
Cheers
James

After quite a bit of investigation:
The menu _self links only seem to work in iexplorer 5.5, 6 and 8 but not 7 firefox. any thoughts or fix on this please?

Hello,
This is not something that depends on our file, it is a flash/browser issue. You should make sure any popup blocking software or options in your browsers are disabled and also that most of these issue don’t happen online, mostly offline browsing (on your local computer, not the internet). There are ways of working around this with javascript and other ways but you would need technical knowledge.
All the best.

Is there a way to allow the scroller to load a specified xml file, or load the settings via the browser, so that I can have different scrollers loaded on a site for different users?

Hello,
Yes, with minor modifications you can tell each scroller which xml file to load or just pass all the contents of the xml file from the html. This can be done via FlashVars. Good luck !
Cheers.

There is no mention of how to set FlashVars in the help file for the scroller, can you point me to a reference of how to do this?

Hello,
This scroller doesn’t support flashvars out of the box (nor is it advertised that it would), I was trying to help you understand what you would have to do in order to accomplish what you want. For help with Flashvars you can do a few google searches and I’m sure you’ll find a nice tutorial that would prove useful.
All the best,

Hi there!
I´m very interested in this item. Just one question, there is any option to make the items “loop” maybe? I mean, right now the items scroll until the last one and stops. I would like an option to make it really infinite, showing non-stop the pictures.
Hope you can understand, mey english is pretty rusty. lol
Best regards!
Alessandro

Hello,
What you’re asking for is not supported out of the box but you can customize the scrolled to have that behavior provided you have good knowledge of AS3.
Cheers !

Hi there,
have tried posting question on forum a couple of times, and by emails, but still trying to find if there is a way to keep the description text on by default? Thank you.

how can i vertically resize this scroller?
it’s not just a matter of resizing the fla before publishing, it is?
resizing on the embed code leads to malfunctioning.
thanks
