  Got a question though. Is it hard to translate everything on the shop to some other language for example swedish? Do I need to edit some images in order to do it?!?

  this shop is Vector based
  so you don’t edit image
  you can edit layout in source fla file

  When I tried testing the source files locally, the checkout button launches Paypal, but nothing is in the Paypal shopping cart (unlike the demo). Am I missing something? Does this to have to be hosted online for it to work?

  Hi, we’re looking for a component that shows a list of products with different features and we liked this one. But we have some questions:

  
  

  - Can we remove all but the list view?

  
  

  - Can we set the number of results per page ourselves?

  
  

  - I see that every list item has a title and a text. Can other categories of text be added? We need to put stuff like “for men” “for women” or a slogan in more lines under the title, with different colors and all. Is that possible? Or does that mess with the DTD?

  Thanks for your answer. I understand that most of the features can be modified when the only thing that you need to do is take some away and leave others. But what if I want to create a completely new line with special text format, for instance? This line will have custom text and be connected to the data base, so that it will change as needed every time. I cannot simple create a text box in Flash and insert it there because the data base will not recognize it. It will have to be related to the xml. But the xml only makes use of predefined data included in a DTD, isn’t it? So, how can I create new lines of text in separated paragraphs (your fla only has two paragraphs in list mode. I need more. And I possibly need columns) within the fla that will work with my data base?

  I was wondering: What if your products were a virtual based product like say music. After the person adds the purchase to the cart and goes to “check out” how is the link to the virtual product distributed or supplied? Is that something that is set up on pay pals end or is this shopping cart only for products that will be mailed to clients through snail mail? I’m interested in your shopping cart but before I purchase I was just wondering if it can handle virtual based products. Thank you.

  Aside from my question about virtual goods, which I would assume is handled through PayPal, I went ahead and bought the check out / cart module. It works as advertised with no issues. It defiantly is one of the best looking ones I’ve come across to date which was a deciding factor in purchasing it. To all other cart developers if you make the GUI look good we will buy it! It was very easy to setup and modify the XML content. Everything worked once uploaded to my server. Couldn’t ask for a easier to use product. Thanks guys!

  Any added functionality from this point on would be great. So far you have made a good name for yourself, with me personally.   great product, very easy to customize, my only problem – and somebody else has asked about this and I can’t see the answer – I am trying to change the currency from USD to GBP – I have amended the currency code tag but still the prices are displayed in USD and the program does not seem to recognize the £ symbol when entered into any of the other tags?   I bought this product because I also bought ufoufoufo’s gallery product – unfortunately I don’t know how to make them work together – if I have multiple galleries, I can also add all the items to one shop but what’s needed is a way for the shop to open displaying the item that was clicked upon in a gallery.

  
  

  As far as I can see this shop always opens with a fixed item list, starting at the first item – that’s not good if someone clicks on a link to shop on say item 450 in a gallery and gets taken to a shop where the item has to be found again… that loses sales .

  
  

  Anyone know how to fix this problem?

  But it is an issue because we don’t know which item they will want to buy!

  
  

  They are browsing galleries see something they want, click on ‘buy this’ or shop’ (which I add to link to the Ultimate Paypal Shop) – it could be ANY item (item 1….n) so a variable needs to be passed to start the display at the item that was clicked.

  1. Yes fla comes with product (as it says above) Package includes: FLA
  Note that you will need a flash editor to open and change it
  Opens with: Flash 8, Flash CS3, Flash CS4
  Parameter changes are easy by any text editor (the xml file)

  
  

  2. Depends what you mean by commercial – Single individual license is $20 – that’s still commerce. Then there are two higher proces for multiple use commercial programmers.
