To edit the variables … after you open the .fla file just press F9 and you will get all the code …. go to top and you will see the variables that I present in the description … If you have any problem with the component just send me an email to viptehnology@gmail.com and I will give you support …

I bought this file yesterday. First of all, I wanted to have the option to choose between autoscroll and number. I wanted number, but i got auto scroll.
Second:
I was able to change all the photos.
I opened your xml doc in note pad, to change the text.
I was able to change the first text of image 1. When I change the text of the others, the entire file disappears. Impossible to change the text and it s very frustrating. i ve been on this since yesterday.
What is happening????

Hi kgg1 ....
First to change from autoscroll to numbers %u2026 just put
autoScroll=false;
numbers=true;
If you have both true then you will have the autoscroll and numbers
About your second problem ... it's and XML problem you forgot to close a tag or attribute ..... please send me your XML file to viptehnology@gmail.com and I will take a look ....6 or edit the XML with and editor that gives you the errors if there are....

Hi – when will this be added to the VIP gallery pack?
Also just a note to everyone, unless you pay $200 (!) for this file, you cannot use it in ANY website that is commercial… meaning you can’t use this in any site that sells anything/affiliate since that’s commercial, according to the license here:

So just checking, that means the $20 version I can only use this in personal websites, like a family photo type site, right? But if I want to use this in any website that I sell things from, I am required to spend $200 on it? (!). It would be good to have explanation.
It appears $20 version you cannot use this in any commercial website where you sell things from — for that you must pay $200 for this one component, is that right? I don’t understand why pricing is so high, since many other flash component sites most things are less than $50 for commercial use.

About the license … you can see that all the components have a bigger price for the commercial license … and about the use of the license you should address to FlashComponents.net support team …

Well I bought I it, but I?m not happy with it.
It is not documented. And it doesn?t seem to be very flexible.
First there`s no feature to change the embeded font.
Second the movie player is a Flash build in messy Component.
Third there seems to be no possibility to get off the routine of click the photo and decide whether you wanna read the text or playing the movie.
This Component is too expensive for it?s non implemented features.
DON?T SPEND YOUR MONEY FOR THIS!

to answer to all your questions … you have a description of each variable from the .fla file here in the component description …
1. The embeded font can be found in the .fla library : antetFont, buttonFont , informationFont, titleFont … just click right -> properties and select the font you like …
2. The .flv player as I said is predefined from flash and the skin can be changed if you like to
3. Your third problem I do not get it … you have 2 buttons read more and trailer
If you think this is too expensive I’m sorry but the work was not easy…

1. I get the “view trailer button” on pop-op’s, how can I remove this button?
2. Is the “view trailer” button present based on some attribute?
3. How can I center the Flash component in the HTML page, i want to the Flash component to auto-center based on browser size. Is this possible? thanks!

Hi Vip,
I have bought the $20 component and think it is amazing, however as i am fairly new at this I am having a few problems with customizing it please could you tell me:-
1. If I can remove the Read More and View Trailer buttons?
2. Can I make the images that pop up bigger when I have made the dimensions of the component smaller?
3. There is a space before the first line of text starts, how can I take this out?

1. the read more and view trailer buttons are conditionated by the attributes link and trailer in the .xml file … so remove the attributes and the buttons will be gone
2. it can be done … but need’s some code modifications … please contact me at viptehnology@gmail.com for that … and I will make the modifications for you …
3. the space you are refering at … is a space in front of the text in the .xml file … remove the space and this is it …
About your second comment … yes can be removed … write to viptehnology@gmail.com and I will make this for you…

Hello Vip,
First off your components are out of this world. Keep up the good work.
As a Web Designer I am pretty much in need of most of your components but I lack experience in XML.
I would like to do is buy a bundle of your components and was wondering if you could give a one on one training of some of your components to give me a head start. I would of course pay for your time if this is even possible.
Either way let me know asap if this can be done.

I have been trying to customise this component but every time i try it either crashes or when i preview movie the images are gone. do you know what may cause this? I am only changing numbers and not the script.

(regarding the ability to edit the fla)
I'm on a macbook pro, so pressing F9 just changes the keyboard luminosity... Is there something else I need to do? I've tried holding down the fn key, the ctl key, the apple/command key... Nothing seems to work.

sorry I didn’t know you are using macbook … to see the code source open the .fla file … select the first frame it will have an “a” on it … click right and select “Actions” and the window with the code will open … then you will be able to make the modifications you need…

Hi, I purchased this and its cool, very nice work. The lack of player controls for the movie is a real issue. I read the comments about how easy it is to skin the controls. But i buy these components as a user not a developer, so I don’t know how to do it. If you could provide concrete instructions, I probably could do it. Without the controls, I do not know if i can use it. For a trailer , no controls is ok, because it’s short ,but for longer movies, it is a glaring omission for the viewer. Besides that, your work is brillant.

After some modding I found the file pretty good. No commenting in AS layer of fla, really annoying when trying to change background color, etc to have to keep compiling over and over to see what variable is what. Also, the variables explained above in the file description is not included as a help file or commented in the fla, kinda annoying to have to save a text file of the description to figure what is what. If you like the look of the file as-is and don’t like to tweek (like me) I give it a thumbs up. If you think it is going to be a breeze to change it up some and re-compile, well, good luck!

any chance you’ll be lowering the commercial file price on this down from $200?! that’s too much, to be able to just use it on one commercial website… most components are well under $75. the way the license reads now, the only people who can use this online who buy it for $20 like I did, are for personal sites, but not any commercial sites. and $200 for a single component is way too expensive imo. Will the price be coming down soon, to something more reasonable?
