  • You should change it from FLA source. Open source/scroller.fla. Go to library. Select scrollBar/scroller movieclip. Make visible content layer. You’ll see textfield. Then, you should open bold_italic frame for bold-italics of font.

  • You can change XML path from source/com/flashdo/flashblue/Main.as

    Or, you can add scroller as child like Main.as

    var scroller:Scroller = new Scroller(“path/to/xml/file.xml”);
    addChild(scroller);

  • You just copy-paste library items into your project. If you send me your project files with instructions, I can do it easily. My e-mail address is [email protected]

  • this is the first component I buy and I get not assistance.
    i have read all the posts and the solutions don’ t work for me. the instructions are very vague.

    It works perfectly and it is beautiful by itself but trying to bring it to a flash movie is a pain.

    we normally want to have the scroller to be called with a click not as the master piece of the movie.

    can you upload an example on how to call it with a button?
    it will help to a lot of us.

    Thanks,

  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO LINK DIRECT TO A HTML PAGE...
    no css only link to a separate html page wich will be shown in the scroller…??

    thank you

    #  /  posted on Jun 04, 2010
  • You can give links as HTML tags. But, if you talk about showing an HTML page in scroller, it’s not possible because of some html tags aren’t shown in Flash.

  • Why is it possible on the xml textscroller from lambertgroup…?

    HTML support.
    Put your entire html code in content.html file. This file will be loaded in the text area. “

    this scroller worx fine but yours is really better stile ;o)

    this one work with this settings xml:

    _<?xml version=“1.0” encoding=“utf-8”?>
    <playersettings> <record> <scrollComponentWidth>900</scrollComponentWidth> <scrollComponentHeight>800</scrollComponentHeight> <cssStylesPath>componentstyles.css</cssStylesPath> <htmlPath>content.html</htmlPath> </record>
    </playersettings>
    _

    PLEASE PUT THIS FUNCTION INTO YOUR SCROLLER....
    i know… that the html must be very simple….

    ;o)

  • I’ve updated it as you want. You can download HTML content from an HTML page externally.

    You just need to add

    <content ..>
        *<htmlFile>path/to/html/file.html</htmlFile>*
    </content>

    There’s sample in deploy folder. (index_html_file.html & xml/scroller_html_file.xml)

    Thanks

  • I posted this question many days ago and still have no response back? All I need is simple answer! This is very poor service! How you expect people to buy your product? Just buy it and no help whatsoever after that???? Or should I say oh well, is my problem after I bought it !!! There are a lot more flash files to buy beside here!!!!!

  • I didn't get your last comment.

    You can add image-swf in it. But, you can run JS codes inside Flash if it isn't a URL.

  • Can you tell me what software program I need to have to edit this "XML Text Scrollbar"? Because I just bought a flash file and it required Adobe flash CS3 or higher in order to edit that file, the adobe flash software cost $300 up which I don’t have the software! So now I am stuck with the flash file.

    This time I want to make sure before I purchase this flash file.

  • Hi,

    There's a black gap between the text area away from the edge on both side ? How can i get rid of that to align closer to the edge?

    #  /  posted on Jan 20, 2011
  • If you open scroller.xml, you'll see that parameters:

    width="517" height="230" positionX="37" positionY="35"

    You need to change width-height to approiate values & positionX="0" positionY="0".
