  Cornel,

  This seems like a great tool, but I am having difficulties installing it on a static wordpress page. I believe you have assisted other users with similar challenges. The map is black when I embed the html code. Could you please provide me with instructions on how to fix this. I have both the swf and xml file in the same directory. Thank you in advance.

  Hi Jason,

  Where there are 2 ways to fix this problem. The easy fix is by manually adding the xml path in the embedding code of the word press page. Please note that I will need your email address to send you the changes made to the flash file in order to work this way.

  The hard way. The problem is the flowing , even if you have the swf file and the xml file in the same folder you will need to have the web page in the same folder also. Let me explain how flash work.

  For example lets say in the usa_map folder we have the swf file and the xml file. If we go online and go to see the swf file it will work.

  In this case the path to the swf file is www.website.com/usa_map/map.swf and the path to the xml file is www.website.com/usa_map/data.xml . The swf and the xml are in the same folder.

  But if we embed it in a html page lets say contact.html and go to see it online the path of the html page will be www.website.com/contact.html and the path to the xml file will be www.website.com/data.xml and not the correct one www.website.com/usa_map/data.xml therefor it will not work.

  So the fix in this case is to have the xml file and the html page in the same folder.

  I have the USA, Australia and UK maps. I noticed that you have provided the ability to set colors for each individual state/province for other users, but only make them available via email.

  Is it possible to get the XML parameters to do this for the maps I purchased? Thanks.

  Also - is there a parameter to change the default border color between states/countries/provinces?

  Hello -

  Will this map allow me to easily combine several states to create a "regional roll-over" and react the same way as the individual state roll-overs, without adding or replacing any Action Script? Or does this particular map only work with the individual states?

  The map works with individual states. For what you required you will need to replace some action script.

  Hi Cornel,

  I have the HTML file in a directory and the swf/xml files in a subdirectory. The map is showing all black, but if I place an identical HTML file (with paths changed) into the subdirectory that contains the swf/xml files, the copy does fine. Do the swf, xml, and html files all have to live in the same directory?

  Hi Dave,

  If you open the fla file on the code layer , you will see the path set to the xml file. Simply change it to the place where the xml file is.

  I was able to get the map working (mostly) by changing the path in the code of the fla file and then exporting into swf. However, the hyperlinks do not work on wordress???? Any help?

  PM sent to jdboylan1 and USA map updated. In case other user have problem with hyper links not working just add this parameter in the embed code of the swf file. Code: allowscriptaccess=always
