  • Sorted thru all the video players. This one is very good. No problems. ( seems to favor 16:9 movies). Worth the forty dollars, easy.

  • This Dynamic xml player also works great with the YouTube. The YouTube has a stacker editor that allows for even more video. Add the YouTube code (your YouTube video address) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6znjg7gWa1M to the xml code and go.

If you like this dynamic player you might also like these two. "Multimedia Video Player" "Resizable XML Video Player with Playlist and Categories"

Really nice xml players. Ed (Buyer)

  • Can height and width be set in XML config file? Can I get a documentation file and/or an evaluation version before buying this control?

    Respectfully, Jorge Maldonado

  • Hi,

Thanks for the great script. Two quick questions:

    1. How do you create a thumbnail for videos? Do you have to do it manually through photoshop etc ??
    2. How can I put alternative content for people with no flash (iphone & ipad) ? And I don't mean flash installer, because it will be useless for smartphones and tablets.

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers el

  • You need to create thumbnails by yourself, if you won't take videos from YouTube.

You can put alternative content into:

    PUT YOUR CONTENT HERE

    It's in deploy/index.html HTML-JS embed code.

    1. how to add videos
    2. can you upload videos through ftp
      1. how does it populate the videos?

  • It's XML driven. You need to update videos via FTP if you won't write a CMS system for it.

  • Hello Flashblue,

I purchased this template. It sounds really great. However I am not a flash developer in any way. I understand the coding part a bit because I developed very simplistic games but my flash experience stops right there.

I need this video gallery and running asap for a portfolio if you please do not mind sharing cues for the process. I know from your doc that:

    1) I open source>videogallery. fla

    2) I load video gallery MC onto the stage and give it an instance name.

    Then what next processes are?

    A) Do I need to open AS files while working on video gallery.FLA. According to the doc, it sounds like I do needd to if I want to keep the template as is which I do not mind at all for the time being, it is aesthetic, presentable, in other words... a great job!!!.

    B) what the next steps to for instance result into 1 youtube video+1 local MVW+1 FV4 load

I think I should be able to figure out screen size , color etc but otherwise I am stuck because I am clueless in regards with the process. Please enlight me, it may help many more purchasers to come too.

    Thanks in advance, Seb

  • You need to copy AS files with the same folder structure to your project, too.

  • Hello Flashblue,

    • I opened and saved as all AS file from Desktop>XML video gallery v2>source>comFlashdo>flashblue to Desktop>XML video gallery v2>source>seb2seb.
    • I did the same for Desktop>xml video gallery v2>source>caurina>transitions ">"properties folder AS files and prior this folder AS files to seb2seb.

    1) In flash Library: Would you recommend to load videos in the XML video galleryv2>assets or XMLVideo gallery v2>video>bg. I never worked with videos nor flash videos in fash. Do I create Movie clips out of these video assets then do I give each an instance name and ensure the name is instanciated in a/several AS files?

Thanks a bunch in advance, Seb

  • just downloaded but can not get it to work. It looks like files are incomplete. I can not get it to look right.

    #  /  posted on Jan 26, 2012
  • It includes all files. Please, open deploy/index.html. Also, you need to give permission to YouTube to get videos there.

So, try it on a website please.
