  • I have noticed that some have rtmp playing and some don’t now I really don’t want to spend more money on an application that doesn’t fully meet my needs.

I need a player that supports RTMP and also accepts video I have within iframe and or a player that can accept external embed codes.

    Can anyone help?

  • I am using this on a .aspx page, but the video doesn’t play. The thumbs, title, and description are all working correctly. Is there a plugin I should have installed on the IIS, or is there an issue with MasterPages?

  • JVelthoen,

There shouldn’t be any problem. Are you sure you are using correct video format for your videos? i.e either FLV or H.264 MP4 video (with latest Flash Player 9 installed).

please email me if you have any difficulty installing it.

Sorry no support for RTMP. Please email me if you have any further questions.

  • Hi tabahee. I purchased this template a couple of weeks ago. It works great, but I had a problem with my computer and the original files seem to be corrupted and unusable. How can I download it again without having to re-buy it again?

  • Greetings-
Greet gallery. I will use this on a stand alone, touch screen kiosk and have the following questions before I purchase:

    1. Are the graphics vector? I will need to increase the pixel dimensions of the gallery to fit better within a 1920×1200 screen resolution.

    2. Is there anyway to have each video go to a seperate “home” video after it has played? Currently, the videos auto advance to the next vid within that category.

    Thanks very much.

  • @ dooney,

unfortunately this gallery is fixed size. although it is vector there should be any problem as long as you are not resizing it. you will need to moify it manully through FLA.

    you can try this gallery:

  • Thanks for the prompt response. I should have browsed your comment section, as you have already answered this a million times (sorry).

As for question 2, I’m looking for a “start video” that becomes the home base after each video has played. It would loop until a user selects a video from one of the categories. The video that I will use is a 3D corporate logo animation. The purpose is to ensure that each user has the same experience with the kiosk (so they don’t walk up to a looping video from cat5 or cat3, or a black screen). Hope this makes sense. Please let me know if this is something you are able and willing to do off-line. Thanks again.

  • Hey all, you will need this if you are using this component on iis, with windows 2003 server:
    http://www.bennadel.com/blog/866-FLV-404-Error-On-Windows-2003-Server.htm

Without it the component never gets past loading.

    Cheers.

  • I just purchased your component and am VERY impressed with it for the most part. I am using it with f4v progressive files and had a question because I noticed some strange behavior.

Basically, if I try to “seek” / “scrub” to a moment in time during a video that hasn’t downloaded yet the component seems to lock up and lose focus from the current video and randomly jump to another video in the gallery. I guess my question is this – Is it possible to have the component fail gracefully when a user tries to seek to a future moment in a video that hasn’t downloaded yet?

Maybe a conditional fix that if a video hasn’t finished downloading, then scrubbing the timeline or trying to seek to a future moment in time becomes a null action until the video is finished downloading? Just a thought.

I completely realize this is not a problem when using Flash Media Server and streaming video files. I was more curious than anything else.

    Kind Regards

  • Thanks for your words.

Let me be clear first. This video gallery doesn’t support LIVE STREAMING, that is no RTMP or Flash Communication Server videos support. This player only support progressive streaming. That is, only direct linked videos with extensions.

You suggestion will only work with short length videos. However we do have long and high quality videos as well, which takes time and sometime user wants to skip to a particular time, before even whole video is downloaded.

So I will appreciate, if you can please explain me a little more about the bug/error you think scrubbing has?

  • Completely satisfied with the player, however I do have a couple feature suggestions when you get around the V4.

I would appreciate being able to have the HTML file in a separate directory.. Currently I’m forced to put the player into an iframe in order to make it work with my sites structure which kills SEO benefits of video.

Second, would love a feature that allows you to specify a specific video to play with a url.. For example http://www.video.com/player.html?video=3 would load the page but start playing with video 3 instead of the first in the playlist. That would also let users generate video sitemaps for Google.

Third, the addition of an HD button would be a huge benefit to toggle on/off for users with higher or lower bandwidth availability.

Fourth I would absolutely pay you again for a player designed exactly like this that is designed in HTML 5. I am in the process of creating a mobile site and we all know that cannot include Flash. If you can do this, even outside of an update please let me know. I’ll gladly work out a price with you provided its reasonable.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

  • Hi there I have been using version 3 for a while now, Thsi is the problem that I am encountering.

When I update the xml file, it does not reflect in the player immeduiately.  I have checked and double checked my file, any ideas what might be happening here.

The last time I experienced this, I waited overnight and it reflected my change.

Has anyone else reported this problem, any ideas

    many thanks

  • @fimmtv,
well there shouldn't be any problem. sometime you need to force your browser to make sure you are viewing most recent files. Have you tried "SHIFT + RELOAD" or try restarting your browser.
if you still having trouble. please email me and I would love to help.
