I put this component into my components folder, but it doesn't load up in Flash CS3. How do I use it?

Why dont you use loadMovie …. and just put it in your projects … or just uploaded in php …. or you can use the code that is located in the first frame of the .fla file … for any more questions contact me at [email protected]

this component is driving me nuts.. I've tried inserting it with a different size in a side column of my website, different pictures, no text, no links.. and the first image shows up, but none of the others!
is there a faq for this component?? a users guide? anything? not very impressed so far – can somebody help?

works and mould just the way I wanted but for some reason the first couple of images don’t load until after the first 2 slides have passed. Do you have a quick fix for making sure the preloader has at least loaded the first couple of images before starting the show???

My problem was that I was only editing the html – I COULDN’T edit the parameters in the Flash file because I only had Flash MX.. now that I have CS3, of course I can open and modify the source.
But this is a problem.. there should be notes as to which version of Flash these things will and will not open on. Once I realised I couldn’t open and modify this file to my needs – I was forced to give up rather rapidly because, like lots of web-builders – I was on a tight deadline!
I ended up using a very quick and simple javascript-based image transition effect instead. It was plug and play essentially..
this one.. not so much.

As you can see at the description of the file you have there:
Package includes: FLA,XML, SWF, PICTURES
Opens with: Flash 8, Flash CS3
AS Version: ActionScript 2.0
Viewable with: Flash Player 5 and above
as the variables that I’m refering in the descriptions are all in the ActionScript code … so if you dont edit the variables to your needs than you will have the sample I put ….
