It’s not good man….if you want to play the function in case 1 this will look slike this:
case 1: about();
and you’ll have to define twhe function outside the switch conditions
function about(){ gotoAndPlay (“about”) – where about is the label name I guess
}
and remember menu name has nothing to do with function name!!!!

I looked at the previous posts but I’m still having a problem with the function.
in the fla I have
case 2: vidnav(); break;
the settings have
<menu name=“MENU ITEM 2” type=“function”/>
And in the index.html where this menu is called I have a short function
function vidnav() {alert(“test”);}
Nothing seems to happen when I click on menu item 2.
Does it matter where in the index that the function vidnav() is located?
any thoughts? Is this code compatible with Adobe Flash CS4?

I am having a problem with horizontal view. The text starts at the center then goes to the right, so every time I place my swf file I have a box that is half black and half text. How do I fix it so the text is on the left hand side like your preview.swf or the example shown above?
