Component Description :
The menu was designed to be used embedded in HTML. It will take the width given to the object tag in the HTML file. There can be an unlimited number of tabs or subitems, but the rendering of the tabs(subitems) is restricted by the width of the entire menu area. For example you can set 100 tabs in the XML file, but , let's say, only 5 tabs will be visible , and the rest will be cutoff/will not be visible.
You can change the colors/gradients/text fonts by editing the library items. The XML file is structured on two levels. The first one represents the tabs. Each XML entry (tab or item) can have an URL string and a target window string.
When a user clicks on a tab that has subitems, the subimtems list will be shown bellow. If the tab doesn't have any subitems, it will trigger the URL given in the XML file.
The default XML file is data.XML but if you want to send a different name XML, you can use the flashvars attribute for the HTMLl object tag, with the variable for the file named xmlFile: <param name="flashvars" value="xmlFile=anotherdata.xml" />.
If you want to set a certain tab to be initially selected just add to the corresponding XML entry a new attribute named _active with the vlaue of true (<tab ... _active="true" ...). If you want an subitem to be initially selected, add the same attribute to the corresonding item in the XML file, but also to the parent (tab) tag: <tab ... _active="true" ...><item ... _active="true" ... />
Enjoy !
