Great thanks!!

Of course!....seems so simple now that you’ve written it out $

I’ll be also waiting for the update for the left movement issue.

Cheers again for your help.

Best regards,

Ilap

function engineHandler() {
var cond = ((this._parent.maskMc._ymouse > 0) && (this._parent.maskMc._ymouse < this._parent.maskMc._height));
if (cond) {
....... here will be the existing code .....
} //end if
} //end function

re: y mouse movement restriction
In the engineHandler method add the following condition to restrict the ymouse:

function engineHandler() {
var cond = ((this._parent.maskMc._ymouse > 0) && (this._parent.maskMc._ymouse < this._parent.maskMc._height));
if (cond) {
....... here will be the existing code ….
} //end if
} //end function

Hi,

Thanks for this great component.

I looked on previous posts but I don’t think anyone has asked this yet.
I’d like the scrolling effect to take place only when the mouse hovers the area where the images are (at the moment the whole of my flash document makes the covers move from left to right).

I imagine it’s in “function engineHandler()” that I need to add something regarding _ymouse but I can’t seem to find the right script.
Could you please help me out?

I hope I explained clearly….

Thanks again!

Hi Flashtunning,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I am glad to read that you will be fixing the left movement issue in your next update. When should we expect said update? Will it be free for us who have bought this component?

As I’ve mentioned before, for some – to me – unknown reason the 2S zoom menu at the bottom of all pages on this website works perfectly on all my browser. Not so with yours, which does not show correctly on my version of IE7 even when I can see it correctly in the previews when using FrontPage and Dreamweaver.

I limited the height of the component because I found it occupied to much space and moved the movie up nearer to the top border of the Flash file to compensate for said cut. The result seems to, again, work fine in the Front Page and Dreamweaver previews, but the texts appear cut in half vertically when displayed on Firefox when online. ???

As I mentioned before, I can upload a link the one of the pages with problems so that you can see it for yourself.

Thank you in advance for your continued support.

@go-go-go:

Thank you for your feedback ( we see also that you posted some questions in the past that were addressed thanks for being an active member ).

Regarding first question here (having an image on a previous page etc…we don’t really understand what you are trying to do). As far as we can tell maybe try using different image names to not have images that coincides.

Regarding the left movement we know about this and we have noticed that for the next update list but maybe you can try yourself setting some left/right limits for the mouse movement.

Not sure what to say about that lover border thing since never heard this before…maybe reposition the menu movie clip and mask to a higher y position. As you can see everything inside the .fla file for this menu application is very easy to reposition / adjust the parameters etc to fit your specific requirements.

We have added you observations to the list and we will consider them for the next update.

Best regards,
Flashtuning

Hi Flashtunning,

I am experiencing 2 issues with this component that affect two different browsers:

IE7: If I have an image on a previous page that coincides with one of those shown in the menu it will activate, the rest of the entries in the menu will load their respective images, but will not work. Only the one that contains the image previously loaded works.

And…

Firefox: The whole menu tends to move towards the right more than towards the left and the last image to the right either doesn’t show or barely does.

Also, while the menu seems to show correctly in IE7 it’s lower border is cut in Firefox and only shows half of the texts.

If you want I can give you a Web address so that you can see what I am talking about.

@clarance:
Thank you for your interest in the 2D Zoom Menu. We have checked in all browsers and see the first image after the page loads, so maybe based on your mouse position in that moment the menu slide to the right. Try refreshing the page and having the mouse not over the menu while the page is loading.

Hi, i’d like to know why the images always slide to the right when we view it using IE 6 & 7, while it’s not happening when we view the images using Firefox & Safari.
Please let me know how to show the first image when we view it using IE.
Thank You.
