Hi,
Thanks for your interest.
The file is AS 3.0, as specified in the product description above. This example is already a .swf file. If you are not familiar with Flash maybe you should start with some basic steps first then buy the products, since these are for intemmediate to advanced Flash users.
There are also instructions / comments inside the product package and inside the application on how to adjust various parameters.
Best regards,

I need my users to click a picture and jump to an associated web page, but I can‘t figure out how to do it. I looked in all the ActionScripts to see where I‘d edit that code, but all I could find were comments that seemed to indicate where that code would go bu no indication as to what to do next.
Am I missing something? It would seem that the whole point to having the pictures light up is to indicate to the user that they‘re clickable, but I am not that great at coding and I don‘t know what to put in or where to put it.
Any ideas? This seems needlessly difficult, and a glaring omission to the component. That users should be able to click the pictures seems obvious, but why make me work for it? There‘s a component inspector for the camera parameters, but not for the URLs which makes no sense to me.
An interface like the one in the ColorFlip component would have been extremely helpful, where you just click the ( ) and it lets you insert the file name and parameters into the Component Inspector. But digging through spaghetti code is just NOT my idea of a good time, and it‘s slowing me way down.
I‘d appreciate any help I can get!

Okay, I worked it out. To make the pictures link to URLs, open the Config.xml file and insert the web address where it says
URL=””
as in:
URL=“http://www.itwasrightthereinfrontofme.com”
Looks like most of these components work like that, using the XML file for stuff like this. I still think a Component Inspector for it would be easier, but this is still way better than dealing with ActionScript.

Bought the AS 2.0 version and it worked fine. But when I bought the AS 3.0 version, I could not get it to work. I followed the same instructions that worked last time. I dragged the ButtonsCarouselMC file to the stage, clicked the 3D Scene thingy twice, but nothing shows up in the Component Inspector. I clicked all the way down to the bitmap, but still nothing.
Is there an extension that goes with it, because there sure wasn‘t one in the download folder. I saw that there was a NET folder with some ActionScript files in it, but there‘s nothing in the documentation that tells me what to do with it or where it should go.
I like to think that I know Flash fairly well, and I‘ve twiddled with the code a bit. But for the life of me, I can‘t figure out where I went wrong with the install, because I built the AS2.0 version without a hitch.
Any ideas? Anybody? Help!

Hi,
You don't need to install this application since it is provided together with the source code. You do all the settings in the external xml configuration file and if you need to customize the graphics inside Flash you simply open the .fla file and adjust various symbols.

Hi, it’s a great component however it doesn’t work for me (till now). I get this error message:
TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. at 3DRotateCarousel_fla::3DScene_3/addItem() at 3DRotateCarousel_fla::3DScene_3/xmlHandler() at 3DRotateCarousel_fla::3DScene_3/onComplete() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/flash.events:EventDispatcher::dispatchEventFunction() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent() at flash.net::URLLoader/flash.net:URLLoader::onComplete()
Other Flash components works fine. Please let me know what I have to do to get this activate.
Thanks :)

@impie:
Hi,
Thank you for your purchase.
If everything goes fine in the original file for other users then it should work also in your .fla file, you just need to uncheck the strict error setting for your Flash file settings.
1. Open the Publish Settings Panel from the File menu or inside your newly created .fla file press CTRL Shift F12.
2. Go to the Flash tab and click on the Settings button on the right of the ActionScript version drop down.
3. Uncheck the Errors Strict Mode checkbox and you can also uncheck the Automatically declare stage instances checkbox.
4. Click ok / ok and run again your .fla file.
Best regards,

Works brilliantly, and easy to configure. How do you remove or change the Product Bestsellers text though? It is not in the configuration files, the html example, the Tips and Tricks. And I do not have Flash as this is a stand-alone purchase.

Thank for kind words. That demo text is inside Flash. You need to edit the .fla file and remove the text field from the stage and export ( CTRL + Enter ) a new swf file.
