3D Yeah! Gallery v(2.0) is a sophisticated , XML driven Image and Video gallery based on Adobe's Flash 9 technology
and the 3rd version of ActionScript programming language.

The second version of 3D Yeah! Gallery presents so many new interesting features, many of them were based on requests , so if you have a feature in mind that you want to see in the next version of 3D Yeah! Gallery, don't hesitate
to ask for it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The main features of 3D Yeah! Gallery v(2.0) are :

(#) FLV video playback support.
(#) Image display (JPG , GIF and PNG) support.
(#) Color Themes support.
(#) Ability to change the controlling parameters either internally (via FLA file) or externally (via XML file).
(#) Automatic album creation system.
(#) Automatic page creation system.
(#) Ability to change direction of scrolling , from Left to Right or from Right to Left
(#) Ability to add information to each item in the gallery.
(#) Ability to add tool tips to each item in the gallery.
(#) Ability to navigate to a specified URL or Enlarge content when the preview is clicked.
(#) Ability to disable a wheel and keep the other wheel operating.
(#) Enhanced performance and graphical interface.

3D Yeah! Gallery v(2.0) has many other features but I will let you explore them yourself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features Highlights

Auto-thumb creation System
An Air application is included in the package that gives you ability to re-size pictures by simply dragging the image files into the application window.

FLV Playback
The most requested feature was FLV playback ability , now it's right here with a smart , cool looking video controller.

Albums
Many people had a hard time creating buttons for v1.0 to load different albums or files.....not any more !
Now with the automatic albums creation system, all you have to do is provide name of the album and the path to its data file(Explained visually in the Help section)

Auto-creation of pages
In v1.0 you had a maximum number of items for an album.
In v2.0 thanks to the Auto-page-creation system , you can load the album with any , and I mean ANY number of items
and it would perform just fine!!!!!!

Color Themes
If you don't like the Grey theme , you don't have to stick with it anymore..........Create your own theme!!
Now, with color themes support you can completely change the look and feel of your 3D Yeah! Gallery by editing XML theme files(Explained visually in Help section).

Tool tips
Another heavily requested feature is the tool tips system , you can now provide tool tips for each item in the gallery.
There is a shortcut in the parameters so you can display the name or file type of the item as tool tips without having to actually prvide them as tool tips.

The more control...the better
In addition to the control that you have over the colors of the gallery , you now have more control over how it reacts to users.

With a new style of spinning of the wheels(Now you can drag the wheel to spin it , you can roll over it by the mouse to spin it or you can have both of them together.

Now you can select to disable one wheel and leave the other one working or have them both in the scene.

You can set the speed of wheel spinning , the direction of scrolling of the pages , you can select which elements to appear and which shouldn't , you can enable or disable visual effects(Motion Blur and Depth of Field)...........etc.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The parameters give you ability to:

(#) Add more albums (By copying and pasting , no Actionscript knowledge is required)
(#) Control spinning speed of the wheels.
(#) Hide one of the wheels or show both of them.
(#) Select style of wheels scrolling.
(#) Enable or disable visual effects(Motion blur and Depth of
Field).
(#) Enable or disable error messages.(Not errors thrown by the Flash application, but XML structure errors , 404 errors...etc)
(#) Show or hide elements of the gallery(Such as the Video controller, Albums menu...etc)
(#) Enable or disable Tool tips.
(#) Select scrolling direction of pages(Right to left or Left to right)
(#) Enable enlargement of preview or navigate to a URL)

Worked that time. Thanks!

No I don’t think so, the instructions I gave you were to delete the large “3D Yeah! Gallery v2.0” grey text on top of the picture.

Thanks for the detail. I completed the changes as described, but the text “3D Yeah! Gallery v(2.0)” is still there. Perhaps we were talking about two different text fields, but “3D Yeah! Gallery v(2.0)” is what I want to remove. I have no issue with the software name being called out, but I’d prefer it not be in not such a prominent area.

The main FLA file (3D Yeah! Gallery v2.FLA).....

-Open the FLA, you will only see a V2 logo in the middle of the screen.
-Open the Library (CTRL L) , open the”Lib” folder, then open “02 – Gallery“ folder.
-Double click “Gallery” , you should find the text field right there.

Delete it or change it.

Regarding the header, could you be more specific about where you change the field text and in which FLA file.

I will be using this in an environemnt where non flash users will need to add video. I would prefer to not have them access the xml file directly, so I was thinking it would be nice to see a GUI content management tool that would allow users to indicate the location of the file, the discrption, name and length to update the xml file. Is this something that can be considered for development?
