Hey there. I recently bought this advanced xml photo gallery and I would like to know more details. Isn’t there any way we can use a big image and automatically be resized without defining its width and height in the xml file?
thank you in advance

Hi,
Sure, you need to set the following parameters to zero in the xml configuration file:

Thank you for your immediate response.
I did change these 2 values in zero and now my picture is shown in its regular size (no strecthing). This would be ok though if I was using this photo gallery in full screen (as shown in your preview). I need to use it in a smaller size (500 × 450 pix) so the image has to be automatically resized as to fit the available space. Now the gallery shows only a part of my image (I think this is how the thumbnails work too).
Is this something that can be solved somehow?
thank you again!

BTW ?’‘ve already changed the values in: <object param=“maxBannerWidth” value=“490” /> <object param=“maxBannerHeight” value=“300” />
as to accommodate my own gallery size, but this doesn’t seem to help either…

Hi,
In this gallery version the elements automatically reposition themselves keeping their original size when you resize the browser window and you’ll see for example the bottom menu overlapping the big image or only a portion of the big image when the browser window has a small size, exactly like you see in the online example if you resize the window, this is how this version works.

That’s what I thought but I asked anyhow :)
Is there another version that I can buy that can automatically resize the images? This feature is pretty critical to me.
Thanx a lot!

Hi,
In this version the images are keeping the size you specify in the xml file or the original size and for the moment there is not another version.
Best regards,

Hello,
I understand that this component will not scale the images with an adjustable browser window. However when I have the HTML file set to scale (width=100% height=100%) and I click on the photo gallery page it forces the browser to revert to actual pixel size instead of percentage. This then applies to all of my other non-photo gallery pages too. I have to hit the browser refresh button to get it to be in scale mode again.
Is there a way to prevent this component from affecting the index.html settings for all the other pages?
Thank you.
By the way, do you offer any other galleries that will scale the images with the browser size?

This component actually will scale. You just have to open the “thumbsnailMenu” and change lines 4 and 5 to:
Stage.align = “”;
Stage.scaleMode = “showall”;
Hope this helps someone.
