  • I really like this gallery. Looks great. and yes it says that it is easy to edit through the XML file. However when I downloaded it I found out you also have to edit the "toadd" variable in flash. Being that I don't know what that is or how to do more then open flash can anyone help me?

What is the "toadd" variable and how do I get it to point to the folder I want.

    Thanks!

  • If you keep the files in the same path that you downloaded you dont need to change nothing in flash.

But, if for some reason you want to keep your gallery swf in one folder, and the xml and other files in a different folder, you should open the flash file, go to frame 16 and open the actions panel.

After that just add your site url your gallery are. :)

  • I was able to add my photos, resize the layout, edit the xml, tweak the tween motion in under 5 minutes.

I have the flash file loading into my main flash layout with a geturl command to _level8 and it works fine.

I'll most likely remove the Picture number variable with the mouse over descriptions. I also removed the color bar for when there are no more thumbnails.

I stated the above to show that everything is adjustable. Very easy layout and very easy actionscript to follow.

Great layout to break apart for anyone looking to see how things work.

  • I liked the gallery. I now have to change the text in the xml file for words with accents, that do not display in the movieclip.
Does anyone know a solution for this problem?

  • hello, i just bought your gallery.

Is it possible to have a wider horizontal set of thumbs, perhaps 10 images of the same size? I’m quite sure I could do it but a few hints and tips would be very helpful.

    Thanks, good product!

  • I am about to buy this one. Before that, I have one question. Is it possible to load this gallery swf into my main swf? I am gonna use code such as

    mcLoader.loadClip(“album.swf”,myLoader);

I have a button and click it….then this gallery is placed into the loader area… you know what I mean…

The gallery that I already purchased doesn’t work .. waste money..

  • have bought the file. Using Dreamweaver CS3 to create page and embedded the .swf file. When I test the page on browsers, all of the thumbs will appear and the main, top image will appear as the page loads, but as soon as I click on any of the thumbs to go through the slideshow—the larger images do not appear? Just a blank top (with the 0% loaded background). Everything else seems to work (description, thumbs appear), but the appearance of the larger images (except the first one as the page loads).
    PLEASE HELP!!!!

  • I would like to have the images load in the center of the picture area (my images have different widths and they are all loading from the top left corner, leaving a white space on the right for some of them).
Which part of the actionscript controls where the pictures load?

  • I am having problems publishing this file as Flash8/AS2 as stated – It only works for me correctly when published as Flash6/AS2. My problem is I need to use this in a Flash8/AS2 presentation. Any thoughts or reasons? I am publishing from Flash CS4 as Flash8/AS2 and images will not load. All paths and folders are in right locations. The same exact file published as a Flash6/AS2 works great!

Second question (completely unrelated) If anyone can tell me how to swap the larger jpg image file to play a swf file – That would be great!

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jerry

  • Can I use multiple gallerys in one website? How can I do that?
The swf gets all images from the folder “images” not from my folder “images2”. I’ve changed all pathes in the scripts in frame 16 and 23.

To which path do i need to change the toadd variable, when my swf and “images2” folder is in “/gallery”? When I write “gallery/” in the variable it doesn’t work.

    Help me please!
