The flames are based on motion tween animation and actionscript 2 to generate the movement.
What you can change for the flames are:

1. Set up a random frame for the flame at the beginning
2. Change the value of frames per second (FPS) for the flame by using actionscript. There is variable fps which controls this. Its initial value is 30, which means 30 fps. A value closer to zero means a slower movement
3. Control oscillation for the flame movement by changing the variable range. Increasing the value for the range variable, will make the flame to look as the wind is moving it. For example: 20 would be a calm wind, while 40 would be strong wind and 60 would be an abrupt wind
4. Generate a random movement for the x and y axis. This generates an effect of a random width and height for the flame
5. The flashing effect is generated randomly. This is useful to simulate the brightness of the flame
6. Filter effects applied to the flames by using actionscript. You can take control over the following filters: blur and glow. You can also activate the gradient glow effect, which has been deactivated by default since it uses too much CPU. Of course you can change many other variables for the filter effects such as: the alpha, the blur for the x and y axis, the strong of the glow, the quality of the glow, etc.

There are two candle movieclips with an animation based on frames to choose from:

1. One is a quiet flame, which is the common flame for a candle
2. The second flame has an abrupt movement and it could look like the flame has mystical powers

All the elements are 100% vectorial. No images, no PNG were used to create any effect.
