This version of the 3D Carousel is obsolete.

It also has a free version with complete functionality.

In addition to the free version, the commercial package includes a Flash component (MXP file) and fixes most of the previous issues and adds many requested improvements.
The upgrade price from version 2.0 to 3.0 is $7. Please read the new license terms.


Details of the old (present page) 3D Carousel Menu:

The images have the following changeable properties:
- size
- radiusX & radiusY
- focus
- span
- rotating speed
- frame(optional) color & thickness
- horizontal/vertical rotation
- blur intensity
Check the full list of features here.

All the code (well commented) is in the first frame of the carousel_container symbol.

You can specify the images and target urls through the XML file. Put images at any dimensions, they are automatically resized.
Set the target URLs to point to different sections of your website, or add your own code for clicking on each image instead of getURL method.

Hi, as I already said, I will not support this product, as I released a much better improved version, 3D Carousel Menu XML 3.0 , which fixes most of the bugs from previous versions.


Please upgrade to the new version (you will only pay the difference from the two prices)

Hi Snowcat,
LOVE your stuff.


I have this carousel on a page, and when you click outside of it there is a 50% shift to the left in IE7.


I changed the document size in flash to 480 × 370. And I changed the size of the carousel to:


actualWidth = 123; //The actual images’ width
actualHeight = 123; //and height (the images which are going to be loaded through the XML file)
Ratio = actualWidth/actualHeight;


imageSize = 60 ; //images size
RadiusX = 175 ; //images X radius
RadiusY = 450 ; //images Y radius


The carousel is a little large for the window-the sides get cut off a bit, and I’m ok with that, but I don’t know why that would cause it to shift.

Hi Snowcat,
Everything ‘s going well in the “Carousel menu” when I put png files.
But when I want to use the “Carousel menu smooth” for blur option, there is a white background behind my transparents icons.
What can I change in the code to keep png transparent = to remove this auto background ?

For those who already purchased this, I will try to help you with the problems you’re having with the current version, please send me private messages if you still didn’t managed to fix your issues. But I would highly recommend you to upgrade, you won’t be disappointed!


For future buyers, I will not support this product any more, but if you still want to purchase this version and you encounter difficulties at any point, the solution will surely be this new version

i got the menu up and running but the image’s url links are not working. you click on a picture and nothing happens. Can someone PLEASE help me, i’m using a trial of flash CS4 and it expires in 2 days (too broke to buy the software). Is there something wrong with my xml? this is what the path looks like:


<photo image=“http://e-bookmillionaire.com/flash/images/01.jpg” url=“http://somedomain.com” info=“This Is A Title” />


the url is an example, but that is the correct format right?

I’m having some problems with the carousel. Sometimes it works fine, but once in a while, some of the images won’t load, and sometimes the layering position – “z-index” – of the objects in the carousel is wrong, so that the smaller images in the back are in front of the bigger images in the front.


Any clues of what’s wrong? Any help is seriously appreciated …

I give up. I bought carousel commercial. Opened it in Flash CS3. Looked in Actions for code to change images. No luck. Thought I’d try to at least publish the carousel (as is) into an HTML using Dreamweaver CS3. No luck . . . Still no images (even though I have all the files in the same folder). I’m hoping I’m missing something really simple.
