You can specify the images and target urls through the XML file. Put images at any dimensions, they are automatically resized.
Set the target URLs to point to different sections of your website, or add your own code for clicking on each image instead of getURL method.

if I load .swf's instead of images. Do they keep his funcionality? I mean, I want the user to see an animation when he rolls over the button. is it possible?

modcam, what you see in the demo is as smooth as you can get.
m88m, the number of icons is the number of images you specify in the XML file. So if you're specifying 3 images, you'll see 3 images. If you're adding 100 entries in the XML, you'll see 100 icons in the carousel.
hey i wanted to change the menu to have only 7 icons - currently i think there 14- how can i do this?
Is there any way to make the image scaling smooth instead of jagged and pixellated?

Hi Ryan, there are several ways to narrow the height:
- if you are including the carousel's swf in an html, simply modify the height of the Flash document, by pressing Ctrl J while editing the FLA file
-if you are including the carousel_container symbol in your Flash project or you want to make images fit in a specific swf height, increase/decrease the following variables: thumbSize and RadiusY and Yspan
