with these flare buttons, can you add sub menus to them? I know nothing about webdesign, but I know what I want the finished product to look like. I want to take this info to my designer. So if possible, can anyone suggest where to find compatible sub menus? Thanks!

Hi magic32,
You can create as many buttons as needed. And by setting "visible" property initially to false, you could make 'sub' buttons hide initially. Then using basic mouse-over/out events for the 'main' buttons, you can show/hide the 'sub'-buttons for each 'main' category.
Nothing too complicated if you know just a little basic ActionScript.
ps: The buttons can also be individually given visuals.

Hi Patrickjansende, I have another question. As I said before, I don't know much about web design. So I might be asking the same question a different way, but I just want to make sure you are saying this is possible (and easy). If you look at this website http://www.elevationchurch.org/ The menu buttons across the top and the transparent sub-menues that come down on the words NEW CONNECT & MEDIA are exactly what I'm looking for. Except I want HOME NEW CONNECT MEDIA GIVING to flash like your buttons do. Is that possible and do you have any examples of this? And what programs or code we should be using? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. We have purchased these flare buttons already by the way.

Basically you can do that by adding mouseEvents for the main menu buttons showing/hiding sub buttons on mouse-over/out. You'll need a little basic knowledge of actionscript on how to add EventListeners to buttons and adding the click / mouse actions. Nothing too complex

Hi Patrickjansende,
I’m impressed by your artistic work. Just have a question: when I do change a zoom level on browser - the flare-button menu remains original (absolute) size. I would expect the flare-button menu will relatively change its size when zoom level on browser will change. What am I supposed to do in order to handle it? Please help with advice. (It’s my first-time experience working with flash components). Thanks in Advance

Please ignore my question - I just figured it out by myself. The file reference in html colde should have be changed from “loader.swf” to “flare_button_xml.swf”
