Hi,
I have kept all the pages together in the same directory. That’s why it can see it if you type in an absolute URL. It apparently does not like how the PHP calls pages.
I have exhausted all of my resources to make this work. It simply will not work within my site and PHP layout. I ONLY create websites using PHP (PHP that acts like frames). Therefore, if it can’t work within the structure of this site it will not work for any of my sites and I cannot use this product. (If you need proof of what I’m telling you as far as how I construct websites using the PHP layout, I can provide several URLs validating what I’m saying).
So once again, if this cannot be rectified I really need a refund so I can find another ecard solution which will work. This needs to happen as soon as possible as this is holding up my site.

equals the same URL as:
http://michelerain.com/NEW/scripts/ecards/index.html
It is exactly the same except the php is calling the page that is ID’d as 25 (ecards/index.html).
Your ecards show up in my php page (http://michelerain.com/NEW/index.php?main=25 ), BUT it will not send an ecard.
Your ecards show up in the http://michelerain.com/NEW/scripts/ecards/index.html (SAME page as above but a direct link to the page) and it WILL send the ecard.
My point being – I can get it to show up inside the php page, but not send an ecard.
For whatever reason, the ecard app. will not accept the http://michelerain.com/NEW/index.php?main=25
If someone can make this work, I would be thrilled. But I need this done asap so that I can set my site live.

Yes, I did try that.
Here is where I believe the problem is. In send_ecard.php the following lines:
http://www.yourdomain.com/EcardApplication/view_ecard.php?ecardText=$uniqueName
Changed for my site to: (this direct link)
http://michelerain.com/NEW/scripts/ecards/view_ecard.php?ecardText=$uniqueName
It works.
However, because I need to have the page show up *INSIDE of my php page* I need the link to show:
http://michelerain.com/NEW/index.php?main=27?ecardText=$uniqueName
It looks to me that the 2 php lines are getting confused.

If you go the following link, and send an ecard to yourself it might help in what I am trying to explain.

You’ll see it sends, but when you go to pick the card up it does not work.

Hi,
You will need to go through and check the different paths for things in the php and flash because if you are loading the swf to http://michelerain.com/NEW/index.php?main=27?ecardText=$uniqueName
then the links will need to be relative to http://michelerain.com/NEW/ rather than to the directory the swf is in. And I assume (though I don’t quite know how php frames work) that you may need to add the code from view-ecard.php to your php file? unless you are loading the view_ecarde.php file from your php file?
Anyway, I will leave this with you to work out, as it is not to do with my script, but rather how you have set up your website. It has been designed to work on normal html pages, and if you wish it to work another way it is your responsibility to work out how to modify it for this purpose. I have helped you as far as I can.

Hi Nellie,
It looks like we are back at square one here in regards to the script not working on my website. As I mentioned before that I have exhausted all my resources in making this work with the php frames that I always use.
I purchased this believing that it would work since I have other php/flash/js components on my websites that do work without any problems.
It does not mention anywhere in your description that this program was created solely for HTML pages. Given that and the fact there does not seem to be a remedy which will allow me to use this product without hiring someone to create more code to make it possibly work, I think it only fair that I get a complete refund.
This is unfortunate as I really liked the ecards that you made, but since it is not stated that it was an html program (not usable on php pages). I feel that you did not provide the vital information I needed to make a valid decision when I purchased it. If I had known about it being just for html, and not supported in php (unless I paid more money beyond the Single Commercial License of $90.20 USD), I would not have purchased it.
Thank you and hopefully, I can look forward to a refund.

It should not be a difficult thing to fix the paths and php so that it works. Or you could just have the card display outside of your php frames.
It is a complex script, and you can’t expect it to automatically work in your unusual setup without some modification.
It is not a html program as you say, it actually usues php itself as I’m sure you’re aware. And if you want the ecard to show on your php file rather than the included view_ecard.php, then it obviously will require a bit of modification.
The decription does not state it is designed to work within PHP frames. It is designed to work as is and it does work as it is.
I cannot give you a refund for a script that works for you as intended. Who’s to say you would not use it (since it does still work) after you receive the refund?

Hi Nellie, I am still having some problems with my ecards. I can make them work just fine IF I set my file permissions to 755 on the server. Then my ecard shows. Here is an ecard that I have done that to: http://michelerain.com/scripts/ecards/view_ecard.php?ecardText=1286405773
Now the problem is that I have to set the permissions EVERY time I send an ecard, which of course makes it not work since I do not know when people are sending ecards.
Do you have a good way to make this work? Thank you very much, Michele

Well Nellie, I owe you a humble apology.
I still do not know why the ecards were having such problems. I ended up taking my site and putting in on another unrelated server to try to narrow down the issue of the ecards not being able to be picked up. On the 1st server only intermittently was I able to pick up the ecards. On the 2nd server I was not able to receive the ecards at all. I went back and forth with the server on numerous occasions trying to figure out permission issues that could be driving the problems. Bottom line nothing was resolved except -
I took all your original files, put them up on both servers and they worked (of course). So, I started all over again and redid all of my work and guess what - they now work. I am crossing my fingers that somehow automagically they do still work from now on. It has been one of those things that has made me question my sanity on many occasions.
