topHow to use Image Depth 1.0:
You may use the .fla file as is, modifying layers' images to suit your needs, or you may drag and drop the Image1, Image2, Image3 movie clips into your own project. All settings are controlled via the actions layer for each movie clip; therefore the movie clips are totally portable.
Settings you may modify in each of the Image1, Image2, Image3, or duplicates' actions layer are y_limit, x_limit, and speed:
y_limit and x_limit:
These values represent the limit of motion (in pixels) for the movie clip. For a realistic "3D" effect, layers in back should have these values set lower than layers in front.
speed:
This variable controls how fast the images react to the mouse. Lower values equate to quicker reaction, higher values equate to slower reaction. Setting speed to 1 will result in immediate reaction to mouse movement. Setting this variable below 1 will likely result in undesireable behavior.
topWhat it does:
Image Depth 1.0 allows layered photos or bitmap images to react to mouse movement with realistic, "3D-like" motion. There is no limit to the number of layers, and each layer is fully customizable. You may change the graphic file, position, motion limits and direction, and motion speed for each layer, individually. Layers contain movie clips that are drag-and-droppable into your own flash project!
For layering effects, use transparent PNG files (I suppose a transparent gif would work, too, but PNGs are reccomended for quality transparency). The background (bottom layer) may be a JPG or GIF to keep file size down.
