I like this component, but it is very frustrating to work with. For example, the sample has two buttons that interact with the component that are external to the component itself. I can’t find the code that makes these buttons work…unless the component is referencing these buttons specifically by name (expects them to be there).
Another problem is that the component doesn’t use bitmap smoothing…so you get a bunch of bitmap artifacts when the component scales and sizes the images. Since you don’t get the source with this component you can’t fix it.
The documentation could be better…it says a full api, but where is it? What are the method and property names? Is is possible to reference the container of the image and set its bitmap smoothing property?
This component has a lot of potential if only a few things could be fixed.

Hi,
Since to leverage the performance, it will disable bitmap smoothing when there mouse interaction will the component. When no interaction, it will enable the bitmap smoothing.

Excellent the documentation on the web helps. I have disabled mouse interaction, but it still doesn’t enable bitmap smoothing…
Rather than try to use support through this comment thread I will follow up on your website. If I get bitmap smoothing working then I will post here.

I finally have this component working correctly with help and support from digicrafts (maker of the component). They responded quickly and supplied me a custom version of the component to help me with the bitmap smoothing. They originally set the bitmap smoothing to be turned off for performance reasons, but the way I was using it didn’t affect performance that much when it was turned on all the time.
One note on their xml syntax. If you are using the link property and the linktarget property then you will need to wrap these in CDATA (documentation doesn’t mention this).
I highly recommend this component and digicrafts support.

I don't suppose this component links to a lightbox on click? Also, can you use an image in the background behind the component when you place it on the stage and will the image be visible through the coverflow area?
