Tooltip Sample

Works with buttons and movie clips
Very simple to use. Just drag and drop, and of course set few parameters

It can displays text and movie clips

4 different opening and closing effects (Blur, Fade, Zoom and Rotation)
Choose the speed of each effect.

Square or rounded corners

You can customize borders(color, thickness), background(color), opacity, font(size, color, type), padding, space between the mouse cursor and the tooltip, and much more...

You can embed your fonts, it supports HTML tags.

You can set an easing effect so the tooltip follow the mouse pointer with a nice effect

You can align the tooltip to 4 positions(Top-Left, Bottom-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Right)
the tooltip always stays on the stage(see button 2)

You can adjust in and out delay times, drop shadows etc.

Very light weight, only 4Kb

WaZz,

I have the AS3 version of this and using it in one project. You wouldn’t happen to have an AS2 version by chance? Of course I would pay for it. Nice component, that’s why I want to use it again, but stuck with AS2.

I am using this effect as load movie, bit its not working in load movie. Its working if i just open swf file direct but if i try to load it at level 1 from another movie its not working….

Nice control, but you can set the _targetInstanceName when creating dynamic controls or is there a better way?

I works okay if I just set all of the properties in the component inspector, but then all text is the same.

Great work! Though flashcomponents.net took over 1 hour to get the component files it didn‘t matter. It took me 10 minutes to implement 2 custom instances of the component in my project. Thanks!

Only quirk…when rolling over the assigned target instance with blur/fade set the tip won‘t always display.
