Hi, excellent app! When I add a 4:3 video it is scaled to 16:9, how can I change this? I would like to use videos with both 16:9 & 4:3 aspect ratios.

@rvargaz: There is no button to select the video, the mouse is over a html table row and If you simply remove the text content between the <td>..</td> tag it will work exactly like before.
If you’re referring to the row background focus clip you can edit that clip by opening the .fla file in Flash , press CTRL + L to open the library and edit the rowFocusRect sytmbol.

@mwmayo: You can use videos only at fixed frame sizes ( you edit the .fla file in Flash and resize the video window at your desired size – you may also need to adjust other element positions in this case ).
Regarding video encoding, typically, you should encode the video using the same aspect ratio at which it was originally captured. Altering a video clip’s aspect ratio may result in a distorted video image. Also when converting videos it is recommended to use the Flash CS3 or CS4 Video Encoder provided with Flash to ensure max compatibility for your newly encoded video files.

Hi,
Thank you for your interest. The v2 of the video list player does exactly what iti described in the Features list above. The application doesn’t have by default “sending traffic to a specific category” or “default category to play first”. These are custom things that you can do yourself by editing the source file ( included in the pack , the code is intuitive and well commented ) and extending / adjusting the functionality any way you like.

Great app. Very nicely done. I may have already asked this. How can I prevent the player from centering on the stage area? Where is the code for that?

Hi,
Edit the player clip, go to the read me layer and look for moveBoxes(); method call and comment that line.
Best regards,

I have the “mainContent” clip residing in frame 2 of another clip on the main stage. I have it set up so that a button from a separate MC on the main stage tells the “mainContent” parent MC to go to frame 2, thereby activating everything and giving the appearance that the user just turned on the video player. What I want to do is to have that button ALSO play a specific video from the list. NOT just autoplay video 1 in the list. How can this be done? How can I autoplay a video of my choosing?

This is custom functionality outside the scope of this application, autoplay a video of your choosing is not included in this version.

Hi, now I am trying the flash (Video List v2 application) but I have detected a problem with the characters unicode in the table though I have put “ <? Xml version = “ 1.0” encoding = “UTF-8”?> “ to the beginning of the file XML. I think that the problem is in Flashtuning HTML Table Renderer component
How can I arrange this?
Best regards,
Tony

Hi,
You need to add that line on top of the html layout file.
