Hi,

That option is only when the movie loads first time / first video to not play automatically. If you want each video to not start playing when pressed you need to add additional coding. Edit the .fla file in Flash, edit the movieListBox clip / go to the ReadMe layer / go to line 97 and after this line cellMc.onPress = pressHandler; add also cellMc.onRelease = releaseHandler; and after the pressHandler method ( line 135 ) add also:

function releaseHandler() {
 flvPlayerPath.videoMaru.setIsPlaying(false);
}
FT

Thanks for this great player – it is just what I needed. One question: I was able to make the change so the first video does not play automatically. But when I click any other video on the list, or go back to the first one, they are all set to autoplay. How do I turn autoplay off for all selections?

Hi,

If you want to load an AS2 external swf file into another .fla file you simply create an empty movie clip into the newly .fla file and name it for example myMc, then use the loadMovie command to load the external swf similar to:
myMc.loadMovie(“yourGallery.swf”

Has bought the file

Hello, I’m trying to load a video gallery in one of the pages of my flash website. The website is an XML driven AS2 site. So far I know I need to code and actionscript. I deleted all the content boxes on the page that I want the gallery on. The content boxes displayed the text from the XML tfile_main. My actionscript coding has been wrong, and I need the proper coding to load this outside external swf. or do i need to load the html file, which will get the swf?

And there is already an actionscript at the top layer of the page. It looks like commands for the text that would appear in the content box, should I delet that before coding? It looks like this;
_root.getCurrentText(thisText1, 0, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText2, 1, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText3, 2, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText4, 3, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText5, 4, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText6, 5, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText7, 6, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText8, 7, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText9, 8, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText10, 9, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText11, 10, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText12, 11, true);
_root.getCurrentText(thisText13, 12, true);

I need some help with this one, I’ve never done actionscript. And so far I’m sucking at it.

PS: I had ordered another gallery before this, and comes to find out that it was a AS3 gallery, which is not compatable with my AS2 website. I hope you can provide joy to my life, and say that I did buy the right one, and there is a code to load it onto my website page.

Hi,

I’m running the application in both IE/Firefox here and is working just fine. If you’re using MAC OS you may want to check the first question from the Scroll Bar product page on our site and also the custom mouse wheel creation tip presented in that list.

I was wondering if anyone else had run into problems with getting the mousewheel function to work with the video scroll list? I have gone to the scroll bar component and opened the Component Inspector. The “useMouseWheel” entry is set to “true” but it is not scroll for me. I’ve tried click all over the list to activate it but nothing it working. I didn’t see any mouseWheel parameters in the config.xml file either.
Thoughts?

Hello,

You need to edit the .fla file , edit the list box movie clip / go to the read me layer and inside the onTableRendered method look for the playvideo line and add one of the code lines described in the previous comment below your comment.

Hello,
I have purchased your great video player and made some small adjustments per your instructions (ie- turning off auto play, resizing video player). I was wondering how to get the video player to load the first frame of the first video but not play as a placeholder. Right now my video player is a white empty square until I hit a video to play.
I appreciate your help.
