XML New Reader



This is an XML driven Flash file News reader, with a smooth mouse scroller.
Each news can have its text content, Header, an Image and link. this flash application is done with as1/as2, so it should be easy to modify.

I like it so far. Is there a way to get the entries from the xml file to show up in reverse order, so that the number in the Data field sorts from highest to lowest?

How do you make the links works. Right now it prints a the links at the bottom of the movie but won’t open the links.

if you want the news items to have links, uncomment the getUrl function in the actions layer. I don't have it opened right now but it's towards the bottom when it's doing the rollover and click events

I‘m having a similar issue. I can see the demo version creating a box below the news panel with the result from the button click. It‘s driven by the parameters in the XML file I‘ve created. I‘m not technical and can‘t work out how to just make the web links open into a new browser window when I click one of the buttons. I don‘t need to see the result, I just need it to link my user straight through to the page. Can you point me in the right direction. My XML file is correct and everything else is working.
