I don’t know what to say, they should show up just like in the demo.
Hi Snowcat,
The caption isn’t showing on the flip pages; only the images show.
Notebook.xml does include a caption statement.
Any ideas? Im using XP, tried it with IE7 and FF3.5.3
Thanks
Thank you very much! It worked like a charm.
I was missing the _root. portion of the variable.
Thanks again!
edwardcyh, that is actually pretty simple, all you have to do in the FLA file is to replace x.load(“notebook.xml” with x.load(_root.xmlFile)
When embedding the notebook.swf file be sure to be adding flashvars.xmlFile = “your_xml_file.xml”;
An example of using flashvars could be found at my Flash Carousel (this is using swfobject)
I am having a little problem trying to use FlashVars with this component. Basically, I want to pass the name of the xml file via a flashvar.
I saw the x.load command and know that’s where we change the xml file name. Obviously, I am a flash noob, and I have given up to ask for assistance.
Any light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I'm afraid I didn't provided functionality for a previous button. I will do that (can't promise a day) and I'll post here when it's done.
Regards,
Snowcat
Hi, I‘d like to know how I can add a button on the Flash that will allow the user to go to the previous photo in the sequence? Right now when they click the photo it goes to the next photo.

If you are getting an error message that flash.geom.ColorTransform won't load, check your Publish settings. The same thing happened to me and I found my flash player was set on 7. When I set it on 8 or 9, I was able to get my program to work when I did a Ctrl/Enter. Good luck!!
