Main new features include:
- Rotation around its own axis for each block created out of a 12 keyframe sequence;
- Option to add a mirror reflection to letters;
- More characters: Uppercase and Lowercase, common special - characters and you can always create your own characters in a 14x6 grid;
- Use 3D letters or on-3D (flat) letters;

What you can do is create your own definitions, basically "choosing which blocks create a letter". You can make as many definitions as you like. BUT the restriction is the grid size of 10x6 blocks. So if you can build the japanese character(s)/glyph(s) within a 10x6 grid, then "yes". ps: For the AS3 version I've already created a custom 10x10 variation for a customer, it's possible to increase the grid but it's quit a bit of work.
