Hello:
I want to know if the component have download image function and if yes, how it work.
How work the component ?
Need to be installed in the server some component ?
The component generates the thumbnails automatically ?
We need the component to show images on a folder.
The images are some in high definition from 6 to 8 megapixels. It work fine ? How about the throughput between the server and the client ?
If you can, please send details about how work the component.
Thanks a lot.
Daniel Hefez.

@dhefez:
Hi,
You specify the images in an external .xml configuration file, it doesn’t generates the thumbnails automatically, this is something that you can do if you want using probably any server side script you like.
You just need to either manually specify the images in the .xml file or generate that .xml file on the fly. The image size doesn’t matter since all the images have an animation preloader that used can see till the images are completely loaded.
As a final note you also need Flash knowledge if you wish to make various graphic symbols adjustments by editing the .fla for the application in Flash.
Best regards,

Is it possible to load a url from this component?
For example:
I would like to load an image of a website I created and then be able to click somewhere (either on the image or in a text area generated by the xml file) to load the website (url).
PS
This is a great component. Nicely done.

Hi,
This component only opens a big image preview when you click on a small image and fades out the big image if big image is pressed.
If you want to click on the big image and open an URL instead fade out you may want to check the XML Image Image product, or you need to create additional coding to this product to support go to URL when press on the big image ( you need to create a new attribute entry in the XML file named for example link=“http://www.somesite.com” and inside Flash you need to edit the imageBox movie clip and within the addPressHandler() method you’ll create the necessary functionality to open the current pressed image corresponding url ).
Best regards,

Hi,
Edit the xml configuration file and set the thumbsScrollAlpha parameter to zero. To change the scroller look edit the .fla file in Flash , open the library ( CTRL + L ) and edit the Scroll Bar Assets graphic symbols.

Hi! Great gallery, it was very easy to customize. There are 30 images in my gallery, and for some reason only 23 of them are showing up. I’ve got everything named correctly and the xml is calling to their correct locations. Any ideas why this might be happening?

Just posted the question about limited number of images. I’ve figured it out. In the 24th image’s description, there was an ellipsis, that I thought was just three periods, that was throwing it off. Thanks!
