In the XML file you can define any number of images using Absolute or Relative path. JPEG, GIF, PNG and SWF files can be used. (Images in preview swf file are not included in download package, they are just used for demonstration.)
Apart from images, in the XML file you can set:
- Main Title
- Main Title Color
- Text Over Images
- Text Over Images Color
- Background Color
- Sliding Glass Color
- Sliding Glass Transparency
Component dimensions are 805px x 400px, and images optimal size is 267px x 400px, if bigger they will be cropped (not resized) to right size. (A smaller, 595px x 310px version used for demonstration is also included)
Note: If users have a very slow internet connection, maybe pictures will not load on time for transitions.

Can a background image be quickly loaded first while the other images load?

Not through XML, but even with beginners knowledge of flash it could be done. Have in mind that if background is raster image (any non-vector format), it will be at least 10-15KB and on slow internet connection it will not look good. That is the reason why I didn't put background image.
