    hey,

i have no problem loading an .swf into the main box, but i want to use the .swf for a before and after image. so when the user rolls over the image it will show the ‘before’. This application is not recognizing my images rollover. i made it a button in flash and set the UP and OVER to separate pictures. it works when i test it on its own but not when i implement it into your file. is there something else i need to do for the rollover to be recognized? i appreciate you help.

    Hi,
The application is working just fine but what you are trying to do is a custom thing beyond the features list displayed in the product description. If you want to add custom actions to images roll over / roll out edit the .fla file in Flash, open the library ( CTRL+L ) and edit the thumbnailsMenu clip and go to the ReadMe layer and look for rollOverHandler and rollOutHandler methods and add your own actions inside these methods.

    Thanks!

    One more question…

I want to use this gallery on 3 pages of my website as 3 separate galleries. Where and how does the flv file access the config.xml file? I want to create 3 xml files corresponding to the 3 galleries. The swf only works when the xml file is located on the root.

    Thanks again in advance

    Hi,

Check question 21, 1, 7, 8 and other useful questions from the tips & tricks area ( you have the links in the product description ).

Also make sure to use absolute paths everywhere ( for the images, for the SWF object file name etc ) instead relative paths.

    Similar to http://www.yoursite.com/etc/movie.swf ( absolute ) instead movie.swf ( relative )

I hate to be a pain, but I haven’t been able to find an image gallery that I like better than yours and I really want to implement it on my site. When I use the FlashVars code suggested in #7 of tips and tricks the gallery stays locked on the preloader image. It does not access the xml instructions. Is there additional code I need to place inside of the FLA?

    Thanks again.

AS long as you’ve specified correctly the FlashVars code in both object and embed tags of the Flash object inside the html page it should work just fine.
